    Introduction:

The following Codex is based upon my story. Union Of The Wolf (U.O.T.W.). The story is now at such a length that I feel readers would benefit from having a who's who in relation to my main Character Sotek and his many friends and enemies.

Name: Sotek He Who Would Rather Not Tell

    Sex: Male

    Race: Argonian

    Alignment: Chaotic Good

    Age: 22

    Appearance:

Sotek is covered head to tail in dark green scales except for his throat which is bright red. The bone spikes on his head are many and prominent. He has three scars covering his left eye which are self inflicted. His eyes are Emerald green.

Weapons: 2 axes / 1 Axe and Shield / Spear / Bow. However he also trains with a two handed axe.

Sotek's spell casting is weak as is his combat capabilities. However his flexability is his watchword and often thinks outside the box when it comes to spellcrafting.

    Back ground:

Sotek’s life began in a small isolated settlement in the depths of Blackmarsh. How Sotek came to be is shrouded in mystery as no one came forwards to take ownership of his egg. All that is known was one evening there were two eggs in the village’s nest.  After a disruption on the edge of the settlement that night, somehow there were three.

Weeks later, all three eggs hatched the same night under the sign of the serpent, however Sotek hatched a few hours later than the others during a freak change of weather which blotted out the stars. Before Sotek could cry out for his absent mother, the other two hatchlings were taken away to join the ranks of the Shadow scales while Sotek himself was declared an outcast. He was cast out of the village barely an hour old, cold, naked and hungry.

Despite his crying, not one Argonian wept for him that night, but the entire village watched and listened in fear as he cried out desperate to feel the loving hands of his parents. However fate itself wasn’t prepared to abandon him so quickly. A young Argonian girl followed the sound of his pleas and wrapped the hatchling in an old shirt before presenting him to her master who herself was a wise and powerful mage. So Sotek was pulled from the brink of death to be carried off away from Blackmarsh to the far north of Morrowind to grow up in a land hostile and unforgiving. There he was taught to use his mind far more than other male Argonians. They made their way by strength while Sotek survived using the two abilities he was trained in, wit and cunning. Not only did he survive, he thrived.

Typical Attire: Miners Shirt / Old Brown Trousers / Black Boots.

    Traits:

Sotek can usually be found in Jorrvaskr’s hall sitting on the bottom step by the fire pit. He likes his home comforts, however that don’t mean what so ever that he likes to live in comfort. What it does mean is if he finds something comfortable like his favourite  shirts (Miners Shirts) then he would rather wear them regardless of his peers pushing him to dress smarter. He’ll happily look like a tramp if the clothes were comfortable rather than be stuck in a exquisite but itchy attire.

This also applies to his weapons and spells. A prime example is his Familiar. While there are higher conjuration spells he could use, he always uses the wolf which he has a close bond to. Despite the fact that it is the weakest of those who he can summon to his aid.

    Favorite food:

Sotek has a fondness for apples and venison. He typicaly eats apples liberaly and they can always be found in his pack. Sotek don't believe in waste so he even eats the cores which others tend to find are too sharp. Venison is his main sourse of meat however he would happily eat fish as well. Vegetables however are an altogether different picture and are usualy ignored.

    Skills:

Initialy Sotek is unskilled however with the sharpness of his mind and his capacity to learn, he quickly learns the arts of Smithing, Enchanting and Alchemy whch he is esspecialy fond of using.

    Strengths:

Sotek was raised by a mystic and taught to use his mind to a far greater affect than what most male Argonians would do so. That in itself has made Sotek far smarter than what most would expect. Being the only male in the small community, Sotek took it upon himself at an early age to be the workhorse of his new family. Where the others would clean and cook, Sotek would gather supplies and help with the evenings hunt. From the age of eight he would carry the freshly killed guar back to camp unaided. As such he is well built and strong. After spending so many years on the coast of Morrowind, Sotek is a very strong swimmer due to the constantly moving tide.

    Weaknesses:

Sotek’s biggest strength is his mind which he uses to the full extent. However that in itself leaves him standing alone as he is stubborn to open up and keep his allies informed as to his real intentions. Often this leaves his friends wondering what he is actually up to and more often than not, they end up having to second guess him. Which usually ends up causing further problems. Sotek refuses to specialise in weaponry and even armor as such his skills with weaponry are weak with one exception. Sotek used spears to hunt even from an early age. A spear in his hands is nothing but deadly which he uses with extreme prejudice.

    Attitude:

Sotek grudgingly fights his friends in sparing matches to train. Often he refuses to push them hard so he usually ends up being beaten to the ground by them. However if he’s forced to fight them properly then he does so only after warning them with one statement. “Anyone who wants out, stand outside the circle now. I warn you only once... I have no mate, no friends, no family. Those that remain in the circle are known to me by one word and one word only... Prey”. From that moment he will fight with everything he has regardless of rules.

Sotek has a strong sense of justice, however that don’t necessarily mean he’ll abide by the laws of the land. Instead he’ll take on the role of judge despite being warned otherwise.

Kodlak, Harbinger of the Companions, Werewolf

Kodlak is as wise as he is old. He’s a solid dependable fighter who is a master with the two handed blade which he named ‘Twilight’. He is a tall muscle bound man who bears the stature of his position in the Companions. Although he’s not the leader directly, everyone sees him as such except for Aela. In her eyes he’s more like her father and she don’t care who knows it. Unfortunately for him that usually means he often has to deal with Aela’s antics.

Weapon: Two handed sword named ‘Twilight’

Kodlak actively seeks out the cure for the beast blood that runs through his veins. In his later years his heart lies heavy with the thoughts of Sovnguarde. His concern with Aela if he should ever find a cure weighed far heavier untill the arrival of Sotek, Kodlak now rests easier knowing Aela wouldn’t be alone in regards of the beast blood. He regards Sotek as a son he never had and half the time he's glad he don't. Especially when Sotek drags Aela in on his rough housing which usually ends up causing commotion and damage.

    Tilma Jorrvaskr Maid

Tilma is roughly the same age as the Harbinger Kodlak with whom she shares the burden of Jorrvaskr. While Kodlak deals with the politics of the great hall, Tilma takes care of the day to day running of the place, whether it’s cleaning, cooking or changing the beds. She is highly respected and her word is considered law even to Kodlak himself who has on occasion found himself on the losing side of her arguments.

    Weapons: Broom / Mop

Although she is no fighter, she is skilled with her broom which she uses to sweep the floors, clear cobwebs and on occasion, chase Sotek through the corridors of Jorrvaskr. She is also proficient with her mop which Sotek has found himself to be on the receiving end of in more than one occasion. She holds the Companions and whelps in high regards but she also mothers each of them. If that means they brings her wrath upon them then so be it.

    Aela the Huntress, Companion, Werewolf

Aela is a companion of Whiterun and is the Harbingers second in command. She is one of the ‘Circle’ which leads the companions in the general running of the day to day tasks. Although she has the bulk of the leadership she shares this position with Farkas and Vilkas.

    Weapons: Bow / Dagger

Aela’s temper is seldom controlled and is unbelievably quick to flare up to the extent of her lashing out at any fool who gets in her way regardless to who it may be. Especially stupid uncoordinated reptilian morons who irk her. Vilkas has often said to close members of the companions that ‘Aela isn’t a girl that can turn into a werewolf but rather a werewolf that can change into a girl’. Aela defends her territory with the same ferocity as a wolf, especialy her room which is off limits to everyone except Tilma.

    Vilkas, Companion, Werewolf

Vilkas is the level headed one and is invariably smarter than his brother Farkas. He’s a solid dependable warrior but his affection towards Aela who he sees as his younger sister tends to let her influence him far more than what he should allow. Often he’s dragged into situations by her when he knows he’s better off staying out of her plans.

    Weapons: Two handed sword

Vilkas is a womaniser and is often found in the local Inn’s with a pint of mead in one hand and a maid in the other. He along with his brother live basic lives, not particularly caring about wealth or property. As long as there’s food drink and girls then he’s content. He stands alongside the Harbinger in respect of being a werewolf and actively attempts to fight the urge to transform.

    Farkas, Companion, Werewolf

Farkas is far stronger than his brother Vilkas and can easily beat him in any feats of strength. While however he has the muscle, he falls short when it comes to wit. This leaves him open to jaunts and jibs from Aela who he also like his brother regards as his ‘Little sister’. He backs this up with force to anyone who he feels is a threat to Aela but at the same time he openly plays pranks and games against Aela earning her retort.

Weapons: One handed Sword / Shield

Farkas’s fortitude is second to none and he is a master with the shield which he uses to great effect. As is his brother, Farkas is a womaniser and often shares his brothers love of drink and the local maids. He also has regret over being a werewolf and hopes to one day cure himself and his brother of the ‘disease’.

    Ebony

Ebony is with no doubt the girl in the group. She’s loving, caring and takes it upon herself to settle in any newcomers into the companions. She’s also highly excitable and has great problems in engaging her head before opening her mouth.

Weapons: 1 handed Orcish blade / Shield

Ebony is quick to come to the defence of others especially when she feels Aela’s out of line with her heavy handed retorts. However while Ebony talks the talk, backing herself up is an entirely different matter and she is quickly put back in her place. Like Sam and Sabre, Ebony is just a whelp in the Companions. Ebony usually trains with Farkas despite her wanting to train with Aela as she feels more comfortable with other girls.

    Sam

If there’s one vice Sam has then it would be his drinking. He’s never far from a flask of mead and often visits the meadery to sample their latest batch of beverages. Because Aela gives a strong presence when she’s in the hall or training area, Sam and Sabre often go around as a pair just for the feel of safety in numbers.

Weapons: 1 Handed Sword / Shield

Although he looks up to the Companions he does begrudge their freedom while he and Sabre have to obey the rules and stay in Whiterun unless told otherwise. Sam usually spars with Farkas who trains in shield work.

    Sabre

Sabre excels with his two daggers which he uses all the time. Whether it’s skinning, slitting throats, or even sparing with Aela who also uses daggers. Unlike Sam, Sabre’s not afraid of Aela but he does have a healthy respect of her. ( And a fair few scars to remind himself).

    Weapons: 2 Daggers

Sabre has a high opinion of his blades which are never far from his side. Unlike Sam, Sabre respects the reasons as to why the whelps can’t go off on their own due to Skyrim’s political situation and the high level of bandits stalking the wilds. He trains almost exclusively with Aela, as she also uses daggers. However these sessions are rare and usually end up with someone’s blood being spilled.

    Kul-et Bright Tail

Kul-et is a young female Argonian who left Black Marsh to join the Companions. She often refers to Sotek as her ‘Egg Brother’ which Sotek accepts readily and has on occasion called her his ‘Egg Sister’. She finds him a bit of an enigma as he don’t act like any Argonian males which she had known before. Although Aela is initially jealous of Kul-et and Sotek’s ‘egg status’ they soon form a friendship although it’s a frail one.

Weapons: Bow / two 1 handed swords.

Unlike the other whelps Kul-et is highly skilled with her weapons. She has a close fellowship with Ebony who she considers to be her closest friend. Unlike Ebony, Kul-et will back herself up when she’s confronted.

    Omega, Sotek’s werewolf form

    AKA: Albino

Omega is unlike any other werewolf of present day. Smothered in pure white fur, with green eyes Omega is considered the lowest rank of Hircine’s hounds hence his name.

Omega, like so many other werewolves has his own personality which is offset to Sotek’s own. Fierce, brave, a deep hunger for the kill describes Omega perfectly. However so does short, weak and slow. Omega stands at the same height as Aela and runs just as fast. His strength is at the same level as Farkas’s while his howl inspires more laughs than actual fear. Both Farkas and Vilkas take great pleasure in making fun of Omega despite Aela’s threats and her affection towards him. Calling him ‘Yeti’ is one of their favourite taunts.

    Red, Aela’s Werewolf form

Sharp claws, deadly teeth and a snarling howl which can terrify her foes. All these attributes added with a fearsome temper makes Aela capable of chilling the bones off many a seasoned warrior. To some she’s a beauty, to others she’s nothing but a jumped up Nord. One thing is for sure there’s a beast in her heart and she goes by the name of Red.

Weighing over twenty stone but fully capable of out running stags, Red is as savage as werewolves get. She lusts for two things, the kill and the chase. Loyal beyond most to Hircine, she’s been on multiple Great Hunts and has in her short time received several minor boons increasing her speed and senses well beyond other werewolves limitations. She often disregards the Pack Alphas as her blood lust takes full control. As is the same as Omega, Red often ignores Aela’s will and can happily seek out her own pursuits regardless of Aela’s feelings. Aela's bond with Red is far greater than most as she was born with the beast blood. What even Aela don't realise, is just how strong that bond actualy is.

                  Enemies

    Ulfric Stormcloak, Jarl of Windhelm.

It’s hard to determine when Ulfric first set his eyes upon Skyrim. What is for certain is that Skyrim would have benefitted from his leadership and prowess in battle. As long as there was no-one except Nords in Skyrim... Windhelm, his city is easily separated into two distinct parts, the Nords who live in luxury and wealth are on one side while Dark Elves and Argonians who have to share a single large warehouse as their homes, live in poverty and a state of hunger and decay.

His envious eyes are fixed on Whiterun while his loathing rests upon Jorrvaskr and the Companions. Allying with the Silver Hands, Ulfric holds both life and death in his hands. Ruthless and cunning are his watchwords. Rumours have spread on the streets of Windhelm about Argonians and elves being killed in bloody rituals and strange figures have been seen on the streets in thick cloaks which conceal those who dwell within. Ulfric has vowed to see Aela, Farkas and Vilkas lay dead before him while their Harbinger Kodlak’s head rests by his feet.

    Greymane Werewolf

Greymane is the name of the Wolf Spirit and Werewolf form of an old bitter Nord. His actual name is unknown as he never uses it. He simply regards his name to be Greymane. An Alpha of Hircine’s pack of hounds, standing at seven feet and weighing over thirty stone, Greymane had the choice of any mate. So he chose Red, Aela the Huntress’s Wolf spirit. As such when Aela dies, her wolf spirit will be bonded with Greymane’s and be his forever in the Hunting Grounds.

Greymane is fixated with Red to such a degree that he will rest at nothing to ensure Red’s compliance at being his mate. The reason for his lust of her is her blood. Aela’s a seventh generation werewolf so pure beast blood runs through her veins. Greymane’s eyes are fixed on claiming the Hunting grounds uniting the packs under his rule. Her offspring will ensure his will by giving him a pack of purebloods far stronger than common werewolves unless Sotek can prevent it by stopping him.

    Scarface

If there was ever a were creature that shouldn’t exist, it would gaze upon Scarface and run... Scarface is the pinnacle of the werewolf’s evolution, gone mad.

Standing well over nine feet tall, weighing over forty five stone, he’s a colossus of a creature standing over two feet taller than most werewolves. Granted boons far greater than any other werewolf, Scarface has capabilities beyond other were creatures. For a werewolf to regenerate health, it needs to feed from its prey. Scarface’s own body don’t. It self regenerates at a constant level quickly healing him from any wounds received in combat.

Scarface’s claws are no exception to his raw power. Razor sharp and longer than other claws, they are beyond deadly. His claws are also unbelievably tough. Added with his strength, Scarface can easily transverse cliffs and towers by clawing his way up the side of them. Hircine’s released him upon Skyrim, and even he is afraid. Only one person has the power to stop him.

His one weakness is silver. Where his strength and regeneration is at a higher level, so is the damage silver inflicts upon him. With  werecreatures, silver will inflict a greater wound than against ordinary opponents. Scarface however, suffers far more extream injury than the wound itself. His blood acts like an acid disolving trace amounts of silver from any blow. These particles transverse through his body flooding it like poison. just one silver arrow inbedded in him can bring him to his knees and force his bright green eyes to turn silver as his body struggles to fight off the poison inside.

Great job on this, Sotek, it came together quite nicely. I'll offer just one more suggestion: There's a lot of empty space on both sides of the relationship tree you've made, and the text is somewhat small. I suggest just filling up that whole space so the text will be larger. You've got a really nice looking gallery of characters, here!

Thanks Borommakot. I'll give the relationship tree another go and see if I can make it clearer.

Thanks Tae. It's a big confidence boost knowing members like you and Borom like it. I apreciate the time you both took to read it.

    You won't regret it Exuro.

They are a great compliment to a story, fun to make and you can add to it as your story progresses. There's a good fair few profiles already made to give you examples of different layouts.

    In U.O.T.W. Yes he is.

Remember Mathias that with stories you are free to push the limits as far as you like. In the LRP groups, CB groups Lore is important. In Tamriel Tales and Wasteland Tales we run free of such 'Shackles'.  Your free to ignore, make up quest chains, plots. It's all up to you.

One question I try to ask myself with regards to my story is this. Is it possible in TES.

If it is, give it a go.

How did you post a photo about your character.
