Alternative Vampirism Glitch

This is my first time posting so forgive me if I posted this in the wrong spot. But I would like to present an exploit/glitch that I use for more personal builds. This is also a guide to becoming a hybrid if one chooses to ignore certain steps.

    Alternative Vampirism (What is it?)

This form of Vampirism is a glitch created from a glitch (confusing, I know.). I decided to make a Vampire Lord/Werewolf Hybrid and felt it was WAAAYYYYY too overpowered. So, I decided to cure Lycanthropy as soon as I could. The end result gave me the same stats as a hybrid, just without the Beast-blood disease passive and the Werewolf Form. As a Hybrid though, I didn't have Frost Resistance, which ultimately enhanced the Master Destruction spell “Blizzard.”

    How to (The difference)

This form of Vampirism will require Dawnguard ONLY and Necromage is definitely a must to make use of this to its full extent. You will also need the following.

Vampire Lord form in order to initiate the glitch

Serana (So she can turn you back into a Vampire) (Vampires/Dawnguard Quests Completed up to the battle against Harkon.)

Companion’s quest-line completed up to "Silver Hand."

This wasn't intended to be a hybrid in the first place, this is just an exploit within the "Hybrid Glitch" which allows you to embrace a truly superhuman nature and have free reigns in daylight. But for those who may get confused, here is a step by step guide. For those that wish to stay Hybrids, ignore steps 10 and 11 and pay even more caution to step 12, as when you drink "the Potion of Blood", the daylight weakness transfers over to both "Human" and "Werewolf Form.". The second video link is a guide to becoming a Vampire Lord/Werewolf Hybrid, so it will sum up most of this glitch.

    1) Favorite and Equip Vampire Lord

    2) Enter the “Underforge”

    3) About a millisecond before drinking the Beast-blood, activate your Vampire Lord power

    4) Wait for the transformations to occur (You should burst out of Werewolf form and into Vampire Lord.)

    5) Use “Revert Form” power

    6) Talk to Serana and click “I wish to be turned into a Vampire”

    7) Click “Yes, I want you to turn me into a Vampire.”

    8) Wait for three hours. (Wait Function set to "3 Hours")

    9) Best way to test this is in daylight. If you have the glowing Vampire eyes and you’re not getting the message that “Your Vampiric Blood boils…”, then you have succeeded in the first portion.

    10) Continue the Companions quest-line from there until you reach the quest where you need to cure Kodlak of the Beast-blood.

    11) After that quest, cure yourself right after curing Kodlak.

    12) Do not feed on anyone or drink any “Potion of Blood.” This will offset the entire glitch and revert you back to a normal, bloodthirsty Vampire Lord.

    Pros:

Vampire Lord Form (Weakness to Sunlight and other Weakness’ Apply in this form {BOOO!})

Alternate human form (Still have the glowing eyes and Necromage still affects this form)

    No Frost Resistance

    No Weakness to Fire

    No Weakness to Sunlight

    Disease Resistance

    Poison Resistance

    No increasing Stages

    No need to feed

    Vampire’s Sight

Vampire’s Servant (Ritual Stone makes this power obsolete, as does the shout “Soul Tear”)

Access to all Vampire Lord Powers in human Form (Utilizing said glitch with the Bound Swords and Transformation)

Rings of Blood Magic become even more useful

Amulets of Night Magic become even more useful

Elemental Fury, Slow Time and Become Ethereal are even more useful

Cloaks lasts longer as a Necromage “Alternative Vampire”

Blizzard lasts longer as a Necromage “Alternative Vampire” and you can reap more benefits from it.

Perks that are affected by Necromage give you even more benefits as you no longer have any of the Vampirism weakness to hinder your character

    AND MANY MORE!!!

    Cons:

Vampire Lord Form (Weakness to Sunlight and other Weakness’ apply in this form {BOOO!})

    No Frost Resistance

    No Increasing Stages

No Vampire’s Seduction (I always found this useless anyway, the only real benefit is that it can stop combat and allow you to feed, which in my own opinion, is useless, as this version of Vampirism is godly in its own right.)

No Embrace of Shadows (This ability only benefits stealth characters, so I play well without it, and the Invisibility Spell combined with Vampire’s Sight can make a near infinite version of this anyway)

No “Vampiric Drain” spell (You can get the Aoe version which is much stronger with the “Vampire Lord Powers in human form Glitch)

No Werewolf Form (This makes the game to easy, even on master so it must be removed. Also, we are going with the concept of being an Altered Vampire! Come on here!)

Why is this such a good thing?

A while back, when I was playing the build that Mason created, called “The Obsidian Sentinel,” I wanted to find a way to utilize his alchemy-enhancement theory to a whole new level, and enhance the ability called “End of Times.” When doing so, I discovered this glitch and had the Aetherial Crown as well. So, when I tried my modified version of End of Times, here is what I used:

Potion: Fortify Restoration and Weakness to Frost (Got as high as 62.5% Weakness to Frost)

Aetherial Crown: Apprentice Stone (125% Magicka Regeneration, 125% Weakness to Magicka)

    Necromage (Restoration)

    Augmented Frost 2/2 (Destruction)

    Deep Freeze (Destruction)

    Stability (Alteration)

When these are combined, the damage of “End of Times” became insane! ((30*1.625)*2.25)= 109.6875 = Roughly 110 DPS! Ever since that happened, I utilized this for any character I use and end up becoming near invincible without a Restoration Loop. Now, the only thing I do not know is if the “Fortify Restoration effect.” and Necromage also affect Blizzard, but if so, this would just be complete OP. Slow Time is affected by both "Necromage" and "Stability," making the spell blizzard last near double it's length of time.

So that's it! Sorry for the length, as much more needed to be covered. I hope this gives a much better, more in depth way to utilize the glitch and shows the difference.

Really like this Bloodbane! Just a little typo, you've put No Frost Resistance under both pros and cons. Shouldn't it just be in pros, because of how powerful Blizzard becomes?

Hi BloodBane, Tips and Tricks host Caesar here! I just want to let you know that all Tips and Tricks posts require tags. Tags help people find your post easier, rather than them having to go through all the discussions. I have added a tag to your build, but for the future I ask that you do that yourself. If you need any help with tags, just reply to this comment, and I'll try to help. Great post by the way. I actually think it's quite nice only being a stage one vampire.

I am going to add this right now actually; In the second video, you keep both. The thing that makes mine different is that you have to go and cure Lycanthropy afterwards. You still retain all the previous benefits that way and it creates the altered Vampirism.

I have it labeled under both because depending on how a person uses this, it could be Good or Bad. It all depends on ones build.

Thank's for the info and thanks for the like! It's actually much different than a stage one Vampire. I have a crappy camera but I will try and make a video soon to show the differences.

And here comes the other Host stopping by with his opinion. To be honest I flush the discussion to be fairly confusing,I've never used a hybrid glitch so I have no idea how to do this, I'm sure there is a discussion somewhere here about it that you can link but if not then perhaps adding one here wouldn't hurt. I'm sure the videos make everything clearer but some people might not be able tl. watch the, (like me at the moment) so I'd recommend writing up a little more just so people who can't watch the videos know what's going on. Don't get me wrong it's a great discussion and I can see how this form could become useful so maybe I'll try it some time. I'll gove it my like and also thanks for posting something, we don't get much around here these days *sheds tear*.

I will do another draft and include a step by step guide then. Maybe that'll help? Also, I noticed lately that their isn't much being posted. Anyways, I'll get working on another draft. I'll have it finished by next month at the latest.

Alright did you want this one left up in the meantime? Good luck with it because it seems interesting and yeah a step by step guide would be appreciated.
