Hey fellow gamers, Tips and Tricks hosts Caesar Strong-Heart and Dragonborn1421 here with the latest T&T Challenge: Snow and Ice. In this challenge, you will need to finish any of the non-main questlines(Thieves' Guild, DB, CoW, or Companions) using only Frost Enchantments or Spells. You will be rated on your time, the difficulty that you played on and the questline that you choose. The questlines will be rated as follows:

    • College of Winterhold - Easiest
    • Dark Brotherhood - Easy
    • Companions - Hard
    • Thieves' Guild - Hardest

For this test you will need to add your time, strategies, questline and the places that you found the hardest and easiest. Please note that you need to make a new character for this challenge, so no super OP #Wizardlizardswithblizards characters. the challenge starts as soon as you start the carriage ride to Helgen.

Have fun and don't forget to reply to the T&T Challenge Suggestion Box near the top of the groups main page to suggest any other challenge ideas. As always, come to either me or Dragonborn with any Questions. The College of Winterhold Quest has an exception to the rule of only frost spells (in the Labrytnthian and for a part of Mzulft you need a fire spell) but that's the only exception.

    Have fun, and happy gaming!

This might have some conflict of interest but I'll join, not for the prize but I'll show you guys how a pro Field Tester does it. By the way I'll remind everyone that although we've originally said Like the discussion it would be cool if you also commented on it (so we can write your names down to show some competition.) you don't have to say which Questline you're doing but you can if you want. Good Luck Everyone and I hope you have fun with this one (don't worry we'll think of something new for the next one, probably no more speed runs)

No offense but I think you guys should come up with some shorter field tests. Both this and the Crispy or Grilled ones are based off of questlines which will take upwards of several hours to complete. Why not try something shorter? Here's something I thought up just now-

Starting outside Septimus' outpost with a level 10-40 character, enter a Dwemer ruin of your choice and get to the top of the little Falmer castle in the center of Blackreach in the shortest time. If you are detected, you must fight until you are hidden again. No invisibility is allowed.

Should take ~30 minutes for most people and its a nice way to find out the fastest strategies for tackling (or avoiding) Dwemer/Falmer enemies.

I like the idea but having such a broad level makes it a little unfair, a level 4@ character will beat out a level 10 most of the time. Maybe 10-20 is a better margin. I'll wait and see what Caeser says about it but I like the idea, maybe from now on well try little ones like this.

Yes, that was the basic idea for the next one. This will be the last(for awhile) Field Test that involves questlines. Crispy or Grilled covered the main questlines, and this one covers the guild questlines, so there arne't really any other questlines to use. We just wanted to get the questlines out of the fist, then concentrate on other things.

Hey Overhate I don't like to break the news to you but have you considered getting reading glasses. We have the example clearly listed but we might move it soon, you've got a slight point that we should move it up higher.

Just a tip guys, you might want to use the "TT Field Test" tag for your field tests to group it with the previous field tests.

Albino, I'm dumb of course we had a tag. We'll use that one from now on, I'm not sure how we completely missed it but we'll use it.

And I just repeated the comment in the Challenge Suggestion Box too.

I would say that those are fine. Aslong as you don't use fire/shock magic for combat.
