It's totally possible, I've done that multiple times before, but never put an emphasis on speed. I think jumping with Become Ethereal from the first circular descent might speed things up quite a lot

That was my thought as well. I was originally thinking of setting it in Arkngthamz, because that has more verticality than any other dungeon I could think of (especially not counting quest-locked ones) but it doesn't have a worthwhile boss at the end. And it seemed like, as essential as speed is to this challenge, you should have to prove that your character is at least a bit competent as well.
I know a lot of people never play on Master though, so if that difficulty level restriction ends up being too much, maybe we can lower it to Expert.

It's roughly due West of the shrine to Azura near Winterhold. Here's the article on UESP for a more precise location. I'm glad you haven't been there; that's one of the reasons I chose it. It's a pretty cool ruin, but because no major quests go through there, I think a lot of people tend to miss it.

Not sure I've ever run through Hob's Fall Cave (I assume that's the one you're talking about). Frostflow might have been a good one. The first three dungeons I thought of are all quest locked, but they would have been ideal: Darkfall Passage + Glacial Crevice, Labrynthian, and Irkngthand.

It's very informal. No one seems to have actually tried it yet, but please give it a shot if you're looking for something to do in Skyrim. Since the last couple Field Tests didn't receive much activity, I'm not sure if it's worth keeping them up at this point. I'll try to figure out some other activity we can all do together that will receive more interest. But in the meantime, yeah, it's happening, more or less.
