Hello everyone! This is Omega, once again tuning in for a Hidden Gem Spotlight!

This week's build is The Forgotten Emperor by Albino. So let's get right to it!

The first thing to note about this build, is that Albino really put some big effort into creating the lore for this build. It is really well written and fun to read.

But of course, most importantly, it also adds to the builds background. This is really worth reading because it makes the build so much better.

Two necromancers, a master and apprentice, stood in a dank, musty crypt. Before them lay a nondescript coffin, largely intact despite having centuries to decay, but otherwise ordinary. The elder mage began to speak.

“This is it. We’ve finally found him.”

If this isn't a great start to kick off a backstory, I don't know what is. It really brings the build alive from the very start!

As for gameplay, The Forgotten Emperor's main focus in combat is to have a huge amount of control. Not only over his allies, but also his enemies! One of the most important tools here is the Soul Tear shout, which literally turns any enemy killed by it into your personal zombie. Other shouts to note are Summon Durnehviir and Battle Fury.  You guessed it right, this guy is all about controlling his foes, rather than stricking at them with brute force!

For the skill choice, the same central theme is quite clear. With having a huge focus on Illusion, Conjuration and Restoration, this build is able to fight every battle exactly how he wants to. With restoration and Illusion to buff up his allies and keep both them and himself alive, you won't have to worry about having a lack of strength. Add Conjuration in, and you get an incredibly powerful control build!

Of course, this isn't just a support build. There are plenty of other skills present, in case you want to shed some blood yourself, you can always rely on One-Handed, Block, Heavy Armor and Enchanting. It's quite clear that this build is much more than a simple support build.

For the looks of his build, Albino has chosen an incredible armor combination, mixing up Ebony, Steel Plate and the Closed Imperial Helmet! This really gives a badass look to a badass character. His equipment is all well written out with original names and the enchantments with it, which gives a really clear view on what to aim for when it comes to equipment.

You can clearly see the amount of effort put into selling the theme of the build. The roleplay section has every questline taken summed up, and most importantly, explained from a roleplay perspective and gameplay perspective. He has even written out all of the summons that can prove useful, and a detailed explanation on situation where they are useful, which really gives a good insight on how the character works.

If you feel like playing this build after reading this, you can find it here! Don't forget to check out the build and give it some well deserved love. This build is something everyone who enjoys playing a support role, or playing an evil commander is going to simply love!

I'm always pleased to see a new Hidden Gem Spotlight, but it's even better when I get to see one of my own featured. Thanks Omega.

Can't believe I've never seen this build before. It has to be one of Albino's best.

Yeah, Albino nailed this build: great backstory, roleplay, and gameplay options. I don't always go for the dark characters, but I was drawn this one. The Fotgotten Emperor's one year anniversary is coming up in a week our so, and I find it hard to believe that it's still sitting under 50 likes... that ain't right. Good pick this week, and great write-up ;D

You're welcome Albino, I didn't understand why this build had so little attention when I personally find it one of you best! Great job on the build anyway!
