Greetings and salutations my fellow Vaulters to my second build for the Arms and Artifacts Event! Inspired by my love of Lovecraft, and the winks and nods Bethesda gives to the Cthulhu Mythos, I decided to take a stroll down to the discomforting confines of Dunwich Borers. Welcome to….
Ia’Krevnah! Ia’Alhazred! Long have your Order worshipped not the God of Christianity nor the Old Gods of paganism. No, your Order, your family included, worship the Deep Ones, ancient beings that live deep below the waves and in the darkest caverns of the earth.
Your bethrothed, a young law student named Nora Blackwood, married you shortly after the High Priest, your grandfather Marcus Dunwich, had a vision from great Krevnah that you were to be the Sunken One’s avatar. However, before you could claim His sacred blade, the bombs fell.
Like the Deep Ones before you, you arise from the fires of nuclear war. Your first stop, your family's old quarry….
S.P.E.C.I.A.L
GAMEPLAY
Gameplay with this character will be, combat wise, totally melee based. With perks like Big Leagues, Blitz, Rooted, and sneak attacks, your character will be Swift and deadly with the wicked blade that is Krevhnah's Tooth.
Now you might be thinking, Chris, how the fuck are we supposed to survive Dunwich Borers at level 1? Well, you probably won't, even with sneak attacks and pyscho. What we’ll be doing instead of working our way till we get to at least level fourteen or so, and have a decent melee weapon which in my case was General Chao’s Revenge which I got from Drumlin Diner after scraping together a few caps.
Once done, and with a spare pistol for the perks such as Wasteland Whisperer and Intimidation, I set off on my eastern trek towards Dunwich Borers. As this character is both the avatar of an eldritch abomination encased in stone, but a cult leader, Intimidation and the like represent his gift of gab. Let me tell you, using Intimidation to get a Raider at Dunwich Borers to follow your orders is helpful when dealing out death on the gang of raiders is helpful on our way to grabbing that jagged machete.
Faction wise I sided with the Minuteman and Railroad, the Railroad for their underground headquarters, and the Minuteman as they're probably the most corruptible faction, if some of the former leaders, and the Libertarian raiders (who are former Minutemen), are anything to go by, heh. Dress all your Settlers up in Children of Atom robes.
EQUIPMENT
Krevhnah's Tooth
The keystone of this entire build’s conception. Upon reaching the end of the trippy, and possibly supernatural, depths of Dunwich Borers, you'll come upon a hole leading downwards, and filled with water. Dive down and alongside what may be the slumbering form of Krevhnah, (“That is not dead which can eternal lie” anyone?), will be an altar with this wicked sacrificial blade resting atop it. Grab this puppy and book it.
Krevhnah's Avatar wandering the wastes.
Armor wise, we’ll be running with the High Confessor’s Robes which I got off Confessor Cromwell’s corpse.Alongside that I wore the Inquisitor's Cowl from Far Harbor as well.
Whenever I needed to Speech check someone, I swapped to Pastor’s Vestments, Liam’s Glasses, and a Newsboy Cap.

Hey Chris nice to see this out. Machete uses this a bit too, but not in the same way. I'm curious about the SPECIAL points too. I'm assuming you added some as I don't think you perked too many actual skills, am I right?

Yeah I love a good detailed Lovecraft style build. Like the others mentioned - I'd suggest a little more detail of how you distributed points to get to your SPECIAL and perk levels especialyl as the cap on this was 25-30. Otherwise, wonderfully dark.
