Wandering across Skyrim, stubmbled upon some bandits' stash, and there was an amulet of Talos. What to do with it, I thought? To sell it? But then someone would buy it, that's not good. To leave it where it was? But then someone would find it. So I tossed it in the water.
Justiciar ThorienAnd even if we assume that the ghost mistakes the PC for Hjalti because they are his incarnation, that still doesn't make the PC a Shezarrine. Because Hjalti is not necessarily one (actually the idea of two Shezarrines living at the same time doesn't make any sense to me, but that is a separate matter). The reason why Wulfharth was helping Hjalti was because he saw a potential in him, to do what he himself couldn't, to walk out of the prison. And there was a prophecy about Hjalti too, all the more reason to hope that he might succeed. And if we go with the idea that he is a Shezarrine, then, lol, it just looks like a kid playing dolls. less

Why bother to create this thing so that others can break free if those others are himself? I think we need to bear in mind that may be the endgame, but the games we play are not about that specifically. Like, we aren't the ones who will transcend and do what he couldn't. Rather, we're the ones who show up and make sure things stay on-track. All these Daedric forces constantly threatening to tear it apart, old enemies from the past returning to destroy the world. The event happens and needs a Hero and that's our job. Preservers and caretakers if you like. less

Justiciar ThorienActually, if we look at it closely, no villain wanted to destroy the world entirely. They all wanted to use it for their own goals. Which threatens not only Lorky's plan but harms everyone except the villain - and in certain ways even the villain.

There is no way to tell who will transcend - if there was, it would make things much easier lol. It can us just as well as the next guy, but to exit the prison one needs to realize one is in a prison and to see the door. One is very unlikely to see the door without something that would make one look into the right direction. That something is a certain Event.
Being a hero is a quest, a path. It starts in one place and ends in a different one. Well, at least I see it like that. I like to think that this path is a step towards freedom, but if you prefer thinking that it's a step in the cycled path of the eternal prisoner, you can choose to see it that way. less

Are Jagar Tharn, Mankar Camoran, Mannimarco and such really that old? The only one who really is old is Alduin. Yes, in most cases we end up fighting some Daedra, but is it they who are the real enemy? I don't think so. After all, they are just jumping at the opportunity to get what they always wanted. It's the mortals who create those opportunities who are the real enemies. And in that, Alduin is the same. He is not a mortal, but he also strayed from the his right path.
