Sheare hit level 13 today. His Shock spells are formidable and beefy, but I've augmented them with the Restoration Spell Bane Spirit from the Apocalypse mod. It's a slow-moving homing spell that only harms undead, but when it DOES harm undead it does so with a huge bang. I've also snagged an Ordinator perk which allows me to drop three runes at once, so I've taken to trapping doors and other chokepoints with lightning runes. This has been a go-to tactic when dealing with enemy mages, since most spells require line of sight. If I trap a corner with three lightning runes, I know they're going to follow and sustain health and magicka damage in the process. Unfortunately, the fallout from the blast on this tactic nearly cost Sheare's newfound friend, Annekke Grag-Jumper, her life. He reluctantly parted ways with her after escorting her back to her mining camp and is continuing on while looking for a companion more like himself, who engages threats from a distance first.
EDIT: Sheare is now deceased. He was mauled to two deaths by a pack of obnoxiously persistent white wolves and a group of frost spiders as he was returning to Winterhold. I've chosen to continue on with a Dunmer named Lor.
