Lament of Okan-Zeeus | Poetry

  • Diggin' the new poem thing that's started around here. Sounds like fun. I've decided to write a haiku (like Krahg's Tale). This is a lament from my blog character, Chases-The-Wind, once called Okan-Zeeus.

    Lament of Okan-Zeeus

    …Blood is water...

    I stand among slain

    The cruel body that slew

    Stains foul and squalid

    So tired am I

    A root of wanton bloodshed

    Leave this one alone

    On shattered treading

    I seek a lasting release

    In peace or in death

    Through tribulations

    As a kindhearted killer

    I falter no more

     ...Water is life…

They're really sad, but beautiful as well. I love the two middle ones. And I especially like "blood is water... water is life." So much meaning right there, in just six words. Masterwork.
