    In my opinion i think magic in the game is very limited.........i have 80hours of game play under my belt, level 40 and am thoroughly enjoying the game. however i feel there is not much variety in sells in the game **that i have come across** most spells i have are destruction in frost bite, flames and sparks, their respective runes and bolts .....chain lightening, fireball and ice storm...........alteration all iv got are detect, transmute, candlelight etc and the rest are things like conjure familiar and flame, wards magelights etc. so either i have not come across alot or was expecting more....or i am missing something....................or their simply is not much variety. so any help here? for example.....will i be able to buy more spell books if i increase my respective level to the type of spell book. or will more spells become available if i choose perks such as eg) adept spells cost half magic........etc. would like to know what there is out there magic wise, and what the rest of you think of magic in the game and if u use it

    There's sort of a hierarchy to destruction spells at least.
    Novice: Sustained spells, Flames, frostbite, sparks
    apprentice: weak charged spells: Firebolt, Ice shard, lightning
    Adept: weak Area of effect spells: Fireball etc

    Once you get higher in each respective school you can buy better spells from the mages at the college. Also, what Mason was trying to explain was that once you reach 90 in any school, talk to the person who specializes in it and they will give you a quest...  more

    Then your skills are still to low to cast them, once your hitting the 90's in a specific school approach the teacher assigned to that school and ask them if they can teach you any further, that should start the quest for the master spells, wor...  more

    i am the arch mage at the school! i dont have the option to buy any spells at master level

    You have to join the college of winterhold if you want to get your hands on the higher ranking spells, also remember that alot of the magic perks manipulate current spells in some way extending their usefulness, escpecially in the illusion school. It gets...  more

    I haven't used magic a lot, but I found a spellbook that transformes iron ore to silver, and silver ore to gold. That was great, because I use most of my time at the moment on smithing or gathering material for that!

    there are water breathing ones and all that jazz, probably master level though, the level just varies between the strength of the spell i guess and how much magicka it uses.. but if you can leveling up you level, and exploring around, you should find some...  more

    im not bored or complaining what so ever dont get me wrong i just expected more magic using the hands......like i see perks to cast expert and master leveled spells but have never came across these spells so im just curious as to what theyl be and if anyo...  more

    Not sure what is out there entirely. I've played about as long as you have. Havn't done the mage quests yet. What are you asking specifically? Is it not enough? I take it you're just talking about spells with "hands" so to speak. I know there's shit load ...  more
