Skyrim Preparedness Planning

  • I came across a short, humorous article on Joystiq (link) written by Jordan Mallory, having to do with gaming marathon preparedness.  To quote the article:

"...have you told your parents/coworkers/significant other(s) about what you'll be doing all next week? In order to avoid inadvertent police reports and costly missing person investigations, make sure to brief your social network on your pending absence from organized society. Also be sure to arrange for someone to swing by and feed whatever pets you may have, as remembering to feed yourself will be enough of a responsibility."

So what have you done / are you doing to prepare for at least a weekend long Skyrim marathon?  Please share as you might have some great ideas for the rest of the membership.

Good quote Krazee.  I have informed the wife that Skyrim was pre-ordered and that I will be picking it up on Friday.  However, since it is Vetern's Day I have a few other commitments that I must first take of.  I plan to spend the remainder of Friday play...  more

I told my room mates and friends I'm skipping class Friday and they won't see me at all this weekend. Possibly not the next week either.

As for me... I notified my immediate family that I would be difficult to reach for a week or two after the 11th.  I have already established and tested out my bedside gaming rig.  This Thursday I will do all of my laundry and change out my bedding.  Frida...  more
