Wolf Girl of Skyrim 2

    Wolf Girl of Skyrim 2

     Nika and Kovu, Redone

    “Your breath stinks!”
“You barely have any fur, and the bit you DO have is longer than half the trees in this forest COMBINED!”
“Your so ugly no one is gonna wanna be YOUR mate!”
“I’m NOT ugly, you’re just mad cuz you’re ADOPTED!” At this, the two spectating young wolves gasped as their tails fell between their legs. Even the offending wolf pup looked down in shame, but held his ground. The little girl with tangled long blonde hair stood with her mouth half open and a tear forming in her eye. For several moments the youngsters stood frozen in time. The line had been crossed, and they knew it. The little girl blinked, whirled around, and bolted in the opposite direction.
“Nika, Wait! I didn’t mean it!” The three wolf cubs charged after her, slowly gaining ground with the advantage of their extra two legs.
“LEAVE ME ALONE!” Nika ran faster, tears streaked across her face. Her heart was pounding, hard, Harder than it should. As her chest pulsed, she gasped and her legs buckled, causing her to crash into the forest floor. Her body shook and trembled, the cubs skidded to a halt and stared fearfully at her hunched form.
“AHHHHG" Nika cried, clutching her chest. A sharp “CRACK” filled the air as Nika’s shoulder convulsed into an odd angle. The air split with her scream. The hackles on the wolves’ backs shot up. “Kovu! get them away, NOW!” She barked just as her vocal cords split from the tension her newly elongated neck caused. Her mouth still opened in agony, but the only sound that came from her was the rasping sound of her rapid breathing and the racket made from her writhing. The offending wolf named Kovu pushed his brothers and chased them away, glancing back every few strides to Nika.
Alone now, Nika’s ordeal was far from over. Sounds reminiscent of a large tree splitting just as it begins to fall exploded all over her body as her bones shattered and cracked trying to shift into place. Fur sprouted from her splitting skin like millions of insects were clawing and ripping their way out. As if something was prying them out, the nails both on her hands and her feet darted outward and formed claws razor sharp.

Her skin stretched to burst as the muscles underneath them expanded exponentially just as her new vocal chords manifested, no longer the soft voice of a girl but the vicious howls of a killer.
The wolf lay prone on the pine needles, it’s chest heaving. The last of the transformation finished with small adjustments to the bone structure and organ alignment. Adrenalin coursed through it’s veins as it jumped to it’s feet, tasting the air with relish.
“No! go away! you’re not safe, not here!”
“Sleep now, girl. You’re the one who got too excited, now it’s my turn.”
         “Bu-”
“Silence, girl! I’m STARVING! Now... is that wolf I smell? sounds Tasty...”
Nika inwardly howled with rage and slammed against the walls of the wolf’s consciousness, but to no avail. The wolf was out, and he didn’t want to go back in.
“Relax, little one, I won’t hurt your precious family, but it is high time I had some fun!” The wolf howled and bounded off, heading north.
“No! not that way, there are humans there! turn left!”
“HA! I don’t think you get what’s going on, sweety.” The wolf barked in laughter “I'M IN CHARGE NOW!” The power of his rage rebounded at Nika’s consciousness, causing her to shrivel and whither before it. The wolf sniggered and howled again, reveling in his playtime.

Halfway back to the den Kovu skidded to a halt.
“What’s wrong, Kovu? Asked Rinviir. Kovu looked back to where Nika was.
“Take Char with you to the den, tell Dad what happened, I’m going back.”
“What? you can’t go back right now! Dad’ll throw a fit!” Kovu was already sprinting back.

“I have to go back! it’s my fault!”
“But! ugh, Fine, but you’re gonna get yourself killed!” Kovu glanced back to see Rinviir and Char moving off towards the den. Convinced of their safety, he surged forward using every inch of his legs to speed on.

The wolf Looked down from the hill to the little town and hungrily watched the people mill about, unaware that death stalks them. It was staring at them so intently, it didn’t notice the sound of padded paws rushing towards it.

“Nika stop! what are you doing here?!”
“What the hell?” The wolf swiveled around to face the fearful Kovu.
         “Kovu, NO!" Nika inwardly cried.
“Nika..." Getting a look at the monster clearly, Kovu started inching back, tail firmly between his legs and his ears planted black. His vision was suddenly slightly blurred, then he realized he was just shaking so badly “Why... are you-”

“You’re barking up the wrong tree there, Puppy. My names Raam. Nice to see you again, Kovu.”
“H-how do you know my name? How did you get out, you’re not allowed to be out!”
“Let’s just say Nika and I are very close, like kin really.” Raam sniggered at his own joke, drool slid down his chin as he chuckled.
         “Half-kin, you mean.”
“That’s right. Now I’ve promised Nika not to eat you, but you’re making that hard, so scram, meat.”

“No! Where’s Nika?! Bring her back!”

“HOW DARE YOU YELL AT ME YOU LITTLE TRASH?! I’ll RIP YOU IN HALF!” the unexpected rage terrified Kovu, who retreated behind a nearby tree. Raam followed him and grabbed the tail of the terror stricken Pup, Lifting him up and causing him to wail and thrash about.

“Put my son down, Raam.” A deep bass like voice sounded behind them.
“Alpha, how... nice to see you.”
         “DAD!”

“Silence Kovu. I won’t ask you again, Raam.”
“Actually, I don’t think I will, I’m very hungry you see. He’s not much more than a mouthful bu-”
“PUT HIM DOWN!” Nika screamed. Raam doubled over, dropping Kovu as he clutched his head. Nika slammed into his mind with renewed force, thundering into his barriers.
         “Quiet, Nika, I can’t think!”
“Fight him Nika, you are stronger than him.” encouraged Alpha.
“NO SHE’S NOT! SHUTUP!” The rage came out in full force as Raam fought with Nika, Turning on her with all his concentration, using his anger as fuel for the battle. Both slammed into one another, neither gaining the upper hand, each trying to find a weak spot. Meanwhile Raam thrashed about, cradling his head as he crashed into trees and uprooted saplings seemingly without notice.
“I’m here, Nika, you’re stronger than him, you can beat him!”
“You can do it Nika!” Alpha and Kovu both giving her encouragement now.
“Nika, come on! you don’t know what it’s like being in the cage all the time!”
“No! you are too dangerous! GET BACK IN THE CAGE!”
“NO!” Raam recklessly rammed into Nika, causing her to recoil. In his rage, however, Raam left a small crack in the armor, the missing scale. Focusing her mind, Nika speared into the gap, piercing right into Raam’s mind.
“RAHHHHHHH!” Raam’s body screamed in agony and his form slowly started to morph back. Fur shrank back into his gray skin as the bones compacted and the muscles shriveled to normal size. Canine teeth shrank and dulled as the rest morphed into molars and incisors. In the place of the thick black hair, sprouted a long and flowing mane of blonde, cascading down Nika’s pink shoulders. The five-year-old girl was revealed before them. The forest grew calm in Raam’s absence. Silence settled on the clearing.

         “...I’m sorry...”
“You could have killed your brothers.” Nika’s nose wrinkled; her disagreement face.
“They are not my brothers.” she said to her hands. Alpha closed his eyes and sighed.
“Kinship is more complicated than bonds of blood, You know that more than anybody.”
“I can never be their sister as long as I look like this.” She threw her head up, revealing animal like eyes and small red lips. The clearing was silent for a while.
“Kovu, leave us. run back to your brothers, they’re waiting for you at the den.”
         “But-”
“GO.” Kovu took one last look at Nika, and bounded off south. Alpha strode over to Nika and sat down next to her, looking down at the town.
“Nika, take a look at those people down there, tell me what you see.”
“I see humans. and wooden dens. lots of humans...”
“Do you look like them?” Nika looked at her claw like nails and felt her pointy teeth.
         “No.”
         “do they love you?”
         “I don’t think so.”
“Do you know who loves you?”
“You. And Mom. and Kovu, and Rinviir, and char.”
         “Exactly An-”
“And...” Nika fell silent and looked at her hands again.
         “Yes?” Alpha asked.
“And... Raam.” A tear fell into her palm.
         “Raam? Raam loves you?”
“ You only see him when he’s being naughty, He’s always there, and he’s not always mean but... he gets...”
         “Restless?” Alpha offered.
“Yeah. Thats why he acts naughty, he never gets to come out, and when he does, he always has to go back in... so he gets... mad sometimes.”
         “I never knew.”
“Do you think we can let him out of the cage sometimes? so he doesn’t get mad?”
“I think we can work towards that, yes.”
         “Really?”
“Really. I think it’s time I stopped treating you like a wolf, and started treating you like a half-kin.”
“Okay. I love you, Dad.” Alpha grinned.
“I love you too, Nika. now lets get you back, your training starts tomorrow.” Nika stood and followed Alpha back to the den.
         “I’m sorry.”
         “I know.”

Amazing entry, Juniorrat...transformation was well done (even more gut wrenching to think of a five year old girl going through it) and the dialogue and relationships were written quite well.  It seems like you have a passion for this story, and I look fo...  more

She should have a twin soul to Raam. Let's call him Deiter and he's the neat organized one, capable of creating beautiful things like... radio's and electric shavers...

Hmm, Raam eh? Now I'm curious, cursed wolf? Hircine alias? Though I think you did a fine job with the wolves and the physiology of the transformation( more than fine actually). I am much more curious to see her interaction with humans than the pack( got t...  more
