Freya - Not So Nasty Bandits

  • So I headed off to Bleak Falls Barrow, I followed the path that Lucan had instructed me to take, as it peaked at the end I saw several bandits surrounding a tower. They didn't see me and I ducked behind a tree, I was around 200 feet away from them, however I had a great line ready to shoot one of them in the head, I let the arrow fly through the air as I watch it pierce his face and then stick into the tree he has balancing against, his body hung there for a second before the arrow snapped and he slumped to the floor, dead.

I lathered my bow in poison as I watch the second bandit run over to see what had happened. He began advancing on my direction, he saw me as I came out from behind the tree, his bow already nocked. He let his arrow fly and I dodged out of the as the arrow ricocheted of a rock behind me. I nocked my bow as I saw a drip of poison trickle down the arrow head and onto the floor, it spread throughout the snow, black as the night. At this point I felt an arrow rip through several layers of my fur armour on my shoulder, thank Talos I have it weaved so thick. I came out of my trance and let go of my arrow as it stuck into his chest and he dropped to the floor, the poison flowing into his bloodstream. I finished off the remaining bandit up stairs with an arrow through his jaw, should've worn a full face helmet.

I was began to feel the cold, something I haven't felt in a long time, I decided I should my way up to the barrow now. As I approached it I saw one bandit patrolling the lower area, I made my way up the side, trying to get into a spot that was near the top. I managed to get up their without being seen by him. I peered my head around the corner and spotted another two bandits, one walking my way. I shot back round the corner to evade his vision and pulled my bow off my back. I nocked my arrow and took out the bandit who was on the lower levels. One of his comrades spotted that he had an arrow in his back, face in the snow, blood surrounding him; and went over to check on him, lets just say he suffered the same fate. I waited several minutes with an arrow laying at my side ready for the remaining bandit.

"Who's there?" He called out with a worried tone to his voice.

    "A friend," I replied.

    "What do you want?"

    "The Golden Claw."

"I knew letting that stupid Dunmer join us was a bad idea."

"You know the Dunmer that stole it?"

"Yes, he's a member of our... Clan."

"There isn't much of your clan, you know those guys at the-"

"Tower below here? You killed them!"

"Yes, and now I shall give you a choice, you either die, or tell me what I will have to deal with inside, then you walk away."

"Two more of the clan in he entrance chamber, one who is most likely chasing the Dunmer, and the Dunmer. Happy now?"

"Yes. Goodbye, stay safe in the future kinsman."

I walked around the corner and passed him, he looked at me and seemed shocked, must've been my age again. I entered the barrow and seeked out the remaining bandits inside, the provided little problem to me, I broke several picks trying to gain access to their chest. I soon came across a spiders lair where I heard someone shouting, it was that Dunmer. I tore my way through the spiders web. I peered around the corner and saw the Dunmer, he was trapped in the web, fool, I nocked my arrow and shot at him, it was in mid-flight when a large spider dropped from a hole in the ceiling, it flew through the spider, killing it instantly. The arrow tore out the spiders gizzards and splattered them all over the elf. Less than a second later later the arrow penetrated his arm and he screamed in pain.

"Stupid spider got in me way," I huffed.

"What the hell was that for?" He screamed at me.

"Shut it you, where's the claw?"

"On the floor, there, now let me down?"

    "Sure."

I then pulled an arrow out of my quiver and stabbed him straight in the face with, he let out a faint moan as his body lost all sense of life. I picked up the claw and pushed my way through the webs he was stuck in. There wasn't much to tell about the rest of the barrow, it was full of Draugr, zombie like Nords. It was weird killing them... I came to the end of the barrow and there was a massive wall covered in Dragon language, father had told me tales of these. I walked up to it and felt a rush through myself. Once I had recovered a massive Draugr jumped out of his coffin behind me, I bolted for the exit but made sure to grab the important stone next to his coffin.

I made my way back to Riverwood, I came across a group of travelling bandits and bolted as they drew their weapons.

I gave Lucan the claw back and rewarded me nicely, I then went to see Gerdur and told her I would make my way to Whiterun now, she looked eager to here the news of what was to happen. During my travel to Whiterun i hunted several elk which I skinned to their hides and meat, I do need to repair my armour considering what that arrow did to me. I saw several warriors fighting a giant and decided I should help them out, I shot arrows at it's vital joints to make their job easier. The archer, Aela, thanked me later and asked me join her guild, I told her I would get back to her on it.

I arrived in Whiterun and made by way up to the Jarl's palace, it was a mighty place. I entered and a Dunmer charged down and me and I just pushed her aside not paying attention to her. I spoke to the Jarl and told him of Riverwood's predicament. He was very concerned. I left him for several minutes while he spoke to his councillors. I overheard and plans had been made to send several guards to Riverwood... Yeah that's gonna help against a dragon isn't. The Jarl the approached me and asked me to go with him to see his wizard, apparently something to do with dragons. The wizard and I chatted for a while about potions and then got onto the subject at hand, he asked me to go to Bleak Falls again... I had to get a stone from the main chamber, I stopped him there and asked him if this was what he was after as I handed him the stone I had grabbed on my way out of the barrow. He was pleasantly surprised and commended me on what I had achieved all alone.

Suddenly there was a massive shout from the Jarl for everyone to haul their asses up stairs, Farengar, the wizard, grabbed me as we ran upstairs. A guard was out of breath and uttering words about a dragon circling around the watch tower. The Jarl ordered us to go off and kill the beast.

I am sat down near the great tree in the middle of Whiterun wandering what to do... Great.

    Talos guide you.

What I look like right now.
