Hey everyone, its Charlie here co-host of the Story Corner.
Firstly, I'd just like to thank everyone for their wonderful stories and contributions to the literature side of this wonderful game. I know I've passed a lot of time reading everyone's ideas and stories. Keep up the excellent writing
Now onto the business side of this blog. As you might have seen or read we have a wonderful new group just for back stories, role playing in Skyrim and basically all the things that give life to your character. There isn't much there at the moment and that is cause we need your help. Unfortunately Piper Jo (your other wonderful back story host) and I can't move your stories into the group on our own so there is a few things you lovely authors can do to give us a hand.
1) you can start a new discussion (preferably with you character's name) and inside that post a link to your already written masterpiece. (Both Piper Jo and I have our stories up as examples of how its done) or
2) If your story is a one-shot (means its only one chapter or less long) just copy the original text into a new discussion. this option is also available for people yet to start writing and don't want to make a blog.
3) it is perfectly acceptable to write your stories in your own blogs and then follow option 1 this is a great choice for those that plan to make multiple chapter stories or even if it a one shot.Â
Okay time for a few things to make it easier for everyone to find your story.
Tags are one of your best friends if you invite them to the party.Â
It's real simple. All you have to do is find the box marked tags (located just under the smilies) and type: backstory --all in lowercase please--and people will be able to find your story. To make it even easier, use some more tags like say your story is about an Orc, add the tag "orc" and it will shorten the search. I've just finished adding the 'backstory' tag to your stories. The rest is up to you. Piper Jo has made some lovely discussions about how to move your stories and how to tag them in the group site please check them out.
Thanks for reading guys enjoy your evening and keep writing!
Please feel free to contact either Piper Jo or I if you have any questions or problems.
Cheers Charlie
