POLL Who would be the best rulers of Skyrim after the events of the game?

    As we all know, a large part of the plot and quests of Skyrim are based around the ongoing civil war and wrangling over the future of the province. We find ourselves inexorably drawn into this in the game - but what do you think should happen after the events of the game?

    Do you think the best way forward for the land of Skyrim would be the independent path of the Nords, as fought for by the Stormcloaks? Or should it remain part of the Empire?

    Maybe you think that the Aldmeri Dominion hold out the best hope for long term stability in Skyrim? Or perhaps you think that none of them really hold the key, and the best way would be a 'melting pot' of different interests and tensions - a form of anarchy?

    Screw it, none of these idiots are fit to rule. I'll take Skyrim and conquer the rest of Tamriel in good time. I'll be a king with an Iron fist, but there shall be peace. Even if I have to slaughter half of Nirn to achieve it. XD

    I think the Thalmor deserve some credit. Though they may want to destroy the world (admittedly with good reason), they are great rulers.

    The Thalmor would be the best rulers in my opinion. Strong and wise kings are the best kings.

    I voted for the Empire. While there is some legitimacy in the Stormcloaks position, Ulfric's brash actions which started the whole war shows he is not the best leader of a state. Also having an independent Skyrim would make both it and the Empire weak and...  more
