The Tamriel Vault is looking for the next class of leaders to help shape and guide our community. As we grow our membership each day and explore new, creative paths, the leadership now needs passionate and enthusiastic people. We currently have a number of community leadership openings and are accepting applications from interested members to join the site's Host and Guide teams.
Are you interested in helping to build and shape our community? Then read on!
Hosts are part of the site's leadership team that promote, curate, and create content in a specific section of the site. While each Host has an assigned area, they collaborate with other Hosts and the Admins to create events, bolster member engagement, provide feedback, assist with planning featured content, and help lead the site to make sure our community is an interesting and fun place to be. As leaders of the site, we expect Hosts to set a good example and keep a level head, keep a regular on-site presence, exercise good judgment, and work cooperatively with other Hosts and Admins as part of the Elder Council. Hosts are awarded a badge for the duration of their hosting tenure and have the ability to edit and moderate groups, discussions, and posts.
It can be daunting to break into a new community, especially when members have built up a longstanding friendships and rapport with one another. Our Guides look after and engage with new members to ensure they feel right at home here among our ranks. They engage with new members by welcoming them to the site and directing them to the resources they might be looking for or interested in. For our new members, they're the friendly face in a room full of strangers. Community Guides are also awarded a badge for the duration of their service, and while they have no elevated moderation or editing permissions, those taking up this position will work alongside Hosts, Admins, and their fellow Guides to help cultivate and be a resource to our newest members.
Right now, we are accepting applications for the following spots:
HOST OPENINGS (7-10):
COMMUNITY GUIDE OPENINGS (2-4)
Ready to throw your hat in the ring? Simply send a PM to the Admin account with the following information:
Applications are due by Sunday, January 28, 11:59 PM Eastern Time.
After the application window closes, the Admins and Hosts will review all of the submissions and announce the new, selected Hosts and Guides in the following days. All new Hosts and Guides must formally accept an offer in order to officially hold the position and be included in the announcement. Delay or failure to respond may mean we offer the position to another applicant, so keep an eye on your inboxes! Selected Hosts and Guides will receive a brief orientation and overview on their new roles.
Thanks in advance to everyone who submits an application!
We're looking forward to hearing from you and good luck!

Damn, yall really did it up with the gif and the countdown and everything! Exciting times. Lots of big shoes to fill for sure. Best of luck to all who apply. And to any who are thinking of applying but aren't sure...just go for it. You'll surprise yourself. Take it from a semi-retired host/admin.

Hey Chris. We're doing applications instead of just straight sign ups so that everyone can see this and gets a fair chance to throw their name in. :) Just send a private message to the Admin account (https://tamrielvault.com/profile/Admin) with this info:
1. When (approximately) did you join the site?
2. Where do you spend most of your time on site?
3. Of the areas listed, tell us which area (or areas) you're interested in hosting. (Please choose no more than three, and if you're applying to multiple positions, rank them most to least interested.)
4. What interests you about the role or openings you are applying to and what would you bring to the table?
5. Is there anything else you'd like us to know when considering your application or do you have anything else you'd like to share (e.g. discussion posts you’re particularly proud of, event or content ideas, samples, group or area suggestions, etc.)?
Thanks! :)
