I did that when i first got Skyrim since i knew nothing about Lore or anything ^^

I've never done it ever, not in Skyrim and not in any game I've ever played, simply because that idea had never crossed my mind. I don't think it has anything to do with the lore, it doesn't contradict it in any way. There are people who made their Argonian, Dunmer, Khajiit and any other characters after themselves, if not in the way of appearance than maybe personality-wise, Idk. When I saw people do it, I even gave it a thought but apparently I just don't get the purpose of it.

Ostium emerged from the Inn in the Morning. He was pushed out of the way by a Child clutching a Piece of Bread. He followed the Kid into a House but stopped infront of a Corner as He heard a raspy Voice of an Old Woman yelling and pressed his back to the wall listening. "I will hear no more talk of adoptions! None of you riff-raff is getting adopted. Ever! Nobody needs you, nobody wants you. That, my darlings, is why you're here. Why you will always be here, until the day you come of age and get thrown into that wide, horrible world". The Woman left and Ostium went arround the Corner. There stood a Group of Kids in the middle of the Room. Ostium askes them about the Woman and the Kids started explaining how cruel Grelod is and how she gives them almost no Food and beats them. One kid brings up that Grelod locks them in a Room and Shackles them to the wall, the Girl showing him her bruised wrists. Another Woman joined the Conversation and introduced herself as Constance. She explained how not even the Guards will do something and how since Aventus left She had gotten even more cruel. Ostium thought to Himself "She kinda reminds me of my Father...".

He swallowed down his Rage as he saw Grelod coming out of Her Room. "This is an orphanage, not an inn. Begone from here". She walked past Him and showed Him the Door. Ostium got an Idea and bumped Shoulders with Grelod as he left and apologized with a sly Grin. "What do you want? You have no business being in here! Riff-raff! That's all you Riften people are".

As Ostium stood outside he scanned the area for a Guard. He spotted one and walked over to Him. "Guard I need youre Help, I have my suspisions that Grelod the Kind belongs to the Dark Brotherhood."

"What makes you think that Citizen?"

"I just saw a Dark Robed Person hand her a letter and then turn Invisible after saying Hail Sithis".

"This is serious you should stay away from Her, I will get the Jarls Opinion on it. Thank You for this Information Citizen".

Errand Boy

Ostium went on to visit Shor's Stone to pick up Elgrims Ore Delivery. He left Meeko at the Inn to let him rest. It was a Cloudy Day with no Sunlight breaking through the thick Blanket of Clouds. Ostiums Blood Hunger grew and he pulled his Hood further over his Face.

Suddenly a Man ran up to Him and handed Him Leather Bracers. "I cant explain take this, dont you dare to Double Cross me!". Ostium noticed what was going on and tackeled the Man to the Ground. He shouted and tried to escape Ostiums hold. A few Seconds later another Man came up to Ostium and Thanked him for catching thr Thief. Ostium handed over the Bracers and left the Thief to the Hunter and traveled further to Shors Stone. He received the Ore and went back to Riften. On his way there He was attacked by a Bandit. Ostium looked him dead in the Eyes and presented his Fangs. The Bandit froze in Place and Ostium bit his Neck. After the Bandit fell unconsious Ostium left Him alive and went on back to Riften.

As he reached The Riften Gate he overheard two Guards talking about Grelod. "Turns out the was a Dark Brotherhood Assassin, they found a letter detailing a contract to kill someone."

"No Way!".

"I couldnt believe it myself, they dragged her out the Orphanage and locked her up."

Ostium started grining drom Ear to Ear and thought to himself "Looks like they found the Letter i slipped into her Pocket, Great". He delivered the Ore to Elgrim, picked up Meeko from the Inn and went to see the Children. He could hear Laugther coming from inside and entered the Orphanage. After about 10 minutes of talking to the children who were now full of Life He left Meeko to play with them and went over to Constance. "I have a Request, could you please take care of Meeko. He is Loyal and Kind but the Dangers i wilk face from now on are too Dangerous. I dont want him to Die, and the Kids need something to learn responsibility right?"

Constance thought about it and got up. "Children, would you like to keep Meeko?". A resounding "Yes!" Echoed through the House. Constance lookes over to Ostium who smiled at her and said "I guess its Decided". He went over to Meeko and said Goodbye, a Tear rolling down his cheek. Ostium got up and said Goodbye to everyone. As no one was looking Ostium left a Bag with 1000 Septims on the Table and left, going back to spend the Night at the Inn. He prepared for the next day as he would have to travel back to Riverwood to retrieve Kharjos Necklace.

I stopped doing it once i actually tried doing builds, but before that i just always said how would i look of i were in that game :D was pretty hard with Oblivions Potato Face Characters :D

And here I thought he'd just sneaak into Grelod's room at night and have a good snack.

Lol, you missed the times (about 2015) when everyone used to ask me what I mean with the )s ))) Indeed, some people are lazy like me and apparently your girlfriend))

Idk, I just can't wrap my brain around it. Even if I created a character looking like me (I actually kinda have created such a one, in Dragon Age Origins, but that was unintentional), she still wouldn't be an avatar of me. She would have a different personality and background. Because playing a "me" would be beyond boring.

I did it because iwas the easiest. You know yourself pretty good so its easier to make yourself instead of someone completly new. atleast that was my reason ^^

Well, the way one treats that situation depends a lot on personality. One of my characters (a vampire) got rather furious and gave Grelod a slap on the face, so strong (vampire strength, hehe) that she flew into a wall and broke her neck. It was a completely unintentional kill.

Well, to me creating a character's personality is a big part of the fun. It's interesting to play a different character, discovering their reactions as you play. If I was playing a "me", any game would bore me to sleep after five minutes.

Well i was 14 when i did that so i just wanted to be the cool Assassin man and just made me cause it was easy ^^

Framing her was a cool idea, though I doubt the guards would arrest someone for using the services of the Dark Brotherhood. They would only arrest one if one was a member of it. Though I don't know for sure.

Lol. Happy childhood. When I was 14, there was only one thing I wanted to be. I wanted to be 18)))

I used to play games like Heretic and Hexen back then. You know, very very old shooters with graphics like Daggerfall.

My first games were on gameboy so metroid and pokemon. Then i went to ps2 with jack and daxter and shadow of the collosus^^
