I'm glad you like those last two paragraphs. I guess it's one of the advantages of watching animes scenes featuring bashful characters with English subs on, as well as reading translated light novels. :P

Heh, fair enough considering that's the exact tone I'm going for :D My flaws just putting things to word, awfully terrible at it which makes it incredibly ironic that most of my time spent doing anything is writing. Shame it wasn't something I enjoyed when I was younger really, would've made it all a bit easier now if I'd been writing stuff from a younger age (well, writing just to write rather than because a teacher said we had to write about a box).

Brings this thread from the depths of Oblivion with a demonic cackle
Soooo. This seems to have mostly died, but honestly I think it's a great resource for everyone in TSC. I do, however, have to ask: judging by how it's been dead so long, can we add the ability to look at WiP stories/poems/whatevers? Like, unfinished works we nonetheless want help on (mostly conceptual help in my case, though I could see how it could help in other areas). Or, alternateively, is this isn't the thread for that, could we make one for it? Just a recommendation of course, though I really think it could help with inspiring writers (looks at self and weeps).

I've never been a really the right person for helping with editing since I myself need someone to edit after me cuz of my poor english, but concepts and hashing out ideas is something I could do and I think this thread could be well used for that. Since it was resurrected by your powerful thread necromancy we can make the most of it at least :D

Well I could help with any editing needed. Concepts are a bit tricky since I don't want to mess with the writer's ideas which could potentially ruin how they want their story to come out. I could give some basic ideas like a simple (mini)plot concept and see how they could work out with it. Other than that, yeah I'm down with it.

Yeah, most people who want me to edit approach me via PM or just slap me with a link to a google doc and say "Hey BIATCH, EDIT or I Orc smacks you!" Then, I just cry and start editing like the slave that I am. But yes, as Karver said, I don't see why this thread can't be also used to hash out ideas, though I think we have a thread for that too somewhere here I have to look.

I for one have no issues with anyone posting half written or wip pieces here if they feel they need or want help with their work.
What might be a better idea though is this.....
(I'll throw my idea to the wolves and see who bites)
If someone has a wip blog post then they can place it in the Workshop. Then they can write a comment here with a link to it. That way it is easier to see what editing has been done to it and if say three people use this method close together then no comments/advice will be buried as the comments ect will be in the workshop on that particular piece.
Whats everyones thoughts on this?

I get you with the whole Workshop idea, and I think it could be nifty. I myself was planning on using Google Docs, however; it has a more intricate commenting system and doesn't take up a Workshop post. Also, about the Campfire, that was epic for getting started with a story part, and I for one am happy it's emerged again. But I guess I kind of misspoke (miswrote?); wjhen I said help with concepts, I meant smaller details. Like, a variation of the past of this thread, where certain dialogue or scenes could have input from others, except while it's being worked-on.
I... Don't entirely know if I'm making sense. Here's the link to my WiP Google Doc:
