First videogame... eh? My dad had an old Atari system that I played like Pac-Man and Asteroids on... and this really wonky Golf game. So, I think those would have to have been among my first games ever. No idea which Atari it was.
Of the games that I remember well, probably Tetris and Ninja Turtles on an NES.
Hmm. I'm pretty sure it was Megaman 2 on my brother's NES. I was, what, about 3 or 4 at the time. I still love the series.
I think the first game that got me into gaming not just for fun, but one that excited my passions for the medium in terms of writing, was Chrono Trigger. I played that on the SNES back in, oh, 2001.
Super Mario World for the SNES. I'd leave the system running all day while I was at school cuz there were very few save points. And I remember getting EXTREMELY peeved when I beat Star Road, and lost EVERYTHING cuz my sister unplugged the SNES to take to her room to play Pac Attack (mix between Pac Man and Tetris)
That reminds me of when I had a list of scrawled "save codes" on random pieces of paper scattered around my friend's console so that we could load at the right level for Power Rangers... and I think the Batman game we played did that too.
And, of course, every once and a while his mom would "tidy up" and throw some out, or we'd spill something and not be able to read the numbers or something.... or get them in the wrong order and have to re-play vast sections of the game.
