I don't know if this is the right place (or, to be honest, even the right website) to ask this, but does anyone know if there's a way- whether by digging into the game files or using the console/a mod to find some kind of hard numbers- to acquire the exact specifications of a created character's appearance in Skyrim and reproduce them when creating a character in the upcoming Skyrim Special Edition? I'd really love to reinvent my two favorite characters in SSE, but I don't think I'd be able to do it accurately via screenshots... and while I'll probably make some slight tweaks, I'd still like to have the original designs intact for revamping. less

WHY YOU LITTLE TRAITOR
LOL. I guess it's not like Skyrim would be helpless against the Dominion, but let me know how it goes when you bring a greatsword to a spell fight. ;)
Now I want to go read up on Hammerfell's resistance again, 'cause I'm not sure how they pulled it off other than by living in a desert...

Despite being a fantasy world, it manages to be believable and even mundane; the people, the setting, the ecosystem, and the various history books and magical treatises make the interesting become ordinary and the ordinary become interesting.
But if I want to be some goody-two-shoes hero, this lifelike setting poses a problem. Ever been to Markarth? The House of Horrors and No One Escapes Cidhna Mine suck. Somehow I managed to do both of those the first time I played Skyrim, and, like, dang. I signed up to be a dragonslayer, not be forced to kill some dude out of self-preservation or pick between participating in an insurrection and killing the oppressed natives' imprisoned leader. And then there's whatever the quest in Whiterun with Saadia and the Alik'r is... of course you do the 'right' thing and stand up for the helpless noblewoman, but there's no proof she wasn't a traitor after all. And THEN, of course, there's the civil... less

What is Alduin, but a rival to be destroyed? The common sheep may hail you as a hero, but they will learn soon enough.-Dawnguard: This is where all the vampire stuff comes from.-Dragonborn: Miraak is a threat to your position and an obstacle on the road to dominion. Devour his soul to prove your strength and become even more powerful.-Volkihar Sidequests: Harkon wasted his time chasing a dream instead of tightening his grasp on Skyrim. A change in leadership means a change of plans.-The Blades: A win-win situation if there ever was one. Absorb Paarthurnax's soul and start building a personal army.-The House of Horrors: Optional. A sweet mace awaits those vampires who embrace their heritage.
