Teccam said:Hey guys, I think this is a great project, and I deeply respect those of you who have volunteered your time to help improve the state of these builds that were affected by the transition to Social Engine. Much respect.
That being said, I'd like to formally request that no more of my builds be included in this project. I hope one day to have the time and motivation to reformat my own work and perhaps to contribute some new material to the group as well. But for now, I'd like it to remain as I left it. I hope you understand and are willing to respect this wish. Thanks!
Elysium said:My feelings align largely with Teccam and I too would like my builds to remain in the unaltered state that the move left them in. I appreciate the work Noodles and others have put into my builds in particular, but I personally dislike the idea of others tampering with my work once I've left. Should the day come where I come back, I would like to have the opportunity to fix them myself. I'm sure many others would be very thankful for the work and although I do appreciate the time and effort you're willing to contribute to this project, I would like my own work left out of it. Thank you.
Thank you so much for expessing your appreciation and respect for our ongoing efforts regarding Project Restoration. It is a baby of mine, carried out by the wonderful members you've seen on this thread, and a profound expression of cooperation and teamwork that, at times, has left me quite moved. To see these builds restored in a manner that takes advantages of the new site formatting, which really does justice to builds, has been inspiring. Sometimes,however, it even feels like giving birth. However, we completely understand and respect your wishes. When you have the time to return and devote to the restoration of your own builds, if you have any questions on formatting and the layout of this site, do not hesitate to contact me. In the meantime, feel free to enjoy the section. We are in the midst of an exciting event based on Against Type playing and many of us are stressing out and building away, in addition to working on this project. We are having a great time and plan more events in the future.

When we first moved here, I tried to fix my Cutthroat build by copying the HTML from Ning and pasting it on the Cutthroat over here. It looks fine in the editor, but when I look at it any other time, there is a load of editing errors. Any ideas?

Gollum said:I just checked it out (I loved that build, btw)... looks pretty good except for a couple of text wrapping issues that pop up when you try to cross platforms. It takes a bit of finagling to get the text wrapping to do its thing, but that can be overcome easily enough. The biggest problem you have right now is that all your images are directly linked to ning. As soon as ning goes down, those images will become broken links.When we first moved here, I tried to fix my Cutthroat build by copying the HTML from Ning and pasting it on the Cutthroat over here. Perhaps tomorrow morning I can get an early start on the day by replacing the images and fiddling around with the text wrapping... are you okay with me giving it a whirl?

Okay, I replaced the images for The Cuthroat (again... loved that build ;D), and I know what is causing your text-wrapping woes:
The editor has the option for you to use bullets, but for whatever funky reason they don't show up on Social Engine. To make things worse, the bullets seem to somehow disrupt the text wrapping process. Which SUCKS, of course, because I utilize the heck out of bullets in my builds--love the things--and now... they're gone :(
I have been doing this as a makeshift bullet:
* An asterisk
-- Or a double dash
The margins don't line up as nicely if you have more than one line of text per bullet, and you lose the option for single spacing between bullets, but it's as close as I could get for now. Who knows, perhaps some day the bullets will come back :D
If you like, I can try to clean up the build for you... let me know.

Thank you for your help, ShinJin. :D I will see if I can do it myself, but if I can't, I'll hit you up.

Shinjin, I did a decent job on my own. You don't have to help me anymore. Thank you for porting over those images; I had no way to get them back. Thank you for the advice, as well. :)

Okay. After a two-week hiatus, things have slowed down enough that I've got another 10 or so Mythic builds restored.
About. Freaking. Time! xD
