I normally don't play as an old man either, but the build wouldn't feel like a Greybeard to me unless I played as an old man.
Yeah, I'll be honest, the only reason why I went with the Hooded Monk Robes is because the Greybeards are monks. The Hooded Blue Robes would probably be the best fit actually. According to UESP they can be found on a dead adventurer at Deep Folk Crossing if you have Dawnguard installed.
With the equipment stacking glitch, your stuff won't be unequipped when coming out of werewolf form.
Yeah, sometimes Skyrim just flat out refuses to cooperate with you. Good luck working it out. :)
