Another thing you might be all interested in is stress. The main stress hormone, cortisol, when elevated over a long period has interesting feed backs on our limbuc system (our emotional brain). It causes our amygdala to hypertrophy ( which increases cranky, tetchy behavior) and causes our hippocampus (involved with short term memory) to atrophy. So prolonged stress will cause you to get pissed off at the drop of a hat and forget what you had for breakfast this morning.
Minimizing or mitigating your stress will really help with writers block.
