Dragonborn DLC Trailer Analysis - Part 4

  • Here's part 4 of my Dragonborn Trailer analysis. Use the previous/next post buttons at the bottom to move through them.

The Dragonborn here is fighting a monster in Apocrypha with a new cool-looking mace. Might be the same monster we saw from the first shot in Apocrypha.

Funny tentacle monster in Vvardenfel/mainland Morrowind - note the shrooms and such in the background. Looks a little bit like a Hunger but it's wearing armor.

Dragonborn slays a goblin/riekling using a new sabre-type sword and wearing some cool metal bear armor. Note the little goblin's spear!

Looks alot like an Ascended Sleeper from Morrowind, doing battle with the Dragonborn in Apocrypha.

A new type of weapon and a new type of undead? Note the heat haze around their weapons. Looks a bit like Daedric but the one the Dragonborn has is a lot more refined.

Yep, same monster - the Lurker
    Which obviously isn't a Hunger
Right once again about the spears being unusable!
Not a Sleeper but a Seeker - close enough right?
Ash Spawn could be classified as undead, they use the Draugr an...  more

Hmm, well, I wouldn't be surprised if early Nords had considerable elven influence in their artistic culture.  Even if they spent most of their time conquering the Snow Elves, wasn't there an early "peace" between the two initially?  So, it comes as no su...  more

On the armor if you look at the right shoulder with the feather metal looked VERY fantasy elvish based.

The armor and helm look deliciously elvish(design) also.

The third to last picture, the sword looks similiar to Oblivion's elven shortsword, so new elven/khajiit weapons?

The weapons in the last picture actually made me think of the Grummite weapons in the Shivering Isles. Those where also very crude and savage looking, although like Vix said it could also be some kind of Ebony since that's the base for other kinds of armo...  more

@Dieter The goblin is in the underhand position and on another analysis someone said goblins might only use them when on the boar's back.

@spectre, spears could be stabbed both high and low, with the position of the hand depending on how one want to thrust.

Spears are melee too, note on pic 3, the gobblin's hand position, it's a thrusting one, not z overhand fore throwing. The riekling is on foot!

Picture one only has a new monster we can't see and an unknown mace. Morrowind had a lot of artifacts in it so this could be a new artifact.
Picture 2 seems to have a creature like a Hunger but with some kind of armor, some kind of chitin, I don't k...  more
