Went into my local game store yesterday, they had Fallout 76 at 35% off and more than 20 traded-in copies for sale or trade. It was actually really sad to see :(
It's a fun poll this month - just something to hopefully spark up a bit of interest!

Honestly, I was super-excited to see FF7
That game was the first game that I ever 'properly' go into (as opposed to just messing about with stuff like platform-jumpers on the Atari ST). To see it 'reimagined' for modern consoles is just insane, really.

I will be buying this on release, make no mistake about that!

I know we were warned there'd be no Starfield or ESVI update, but I'm still kinda disappointed there wasn't for some reason. I held out (vain, as it turned out) hope that there'd be a swerve and we'd get a Steve Jobs style 'And one last thing', and it would be a Starfield reveal.
I'm guessing it means Starfield trailer in 2020 and likely a 2021 release. That means no Elder Scrolls VI until about 2023 (allowing for the usual DLC cycle). Mind you, with Elder Scrolls Online currently smashing it out of the park, I'm less and less bothered about Elder Scrolls VI. Why worry about a game that won't be here for years, will likely be a massive letdown, when there's a really, REALLY great game that Ican play right now?
I'm a bit more interested in Fallout 76 than I was before as well. I'll see how the new updates pan out, and read some reviews. But IF they've finally addressed the lack of interaction and proper quests AND... less

We've now had three 'Chapters', and a whole bunch of content-based DLC (I didn't include DLC that just adds a dungeon, but only the ones that add landmass, skill lines or guilds)
So, tell us your favourite(s) and why in this thread after you have voted in the poll..

You could make a case that Sansa actually 'won'
She gets to be Queen of her home region, doesnt have to live in Kings Landing with a bunch of schemers, doesn't have to have Tyrion 'I made a mistake' Lannister as her Hand. doesnt have to deal with all the problems of competing Houses.... need I go on?
Well, here is something a bit different

Who will end up sitting on the iron throne in a few episodes time? In other words Who will win the Game of Thrones?
I've put the most obvious candidates in the poll - albeit the writers could throw a curve ball and someone totally different could end up sitting on the throne.... Qyburn anyone? Or even Euron Greyjoy (please....NO!!!). Make a case for another person if you like, and click 'someone else I will mention on the thread'

The biggest immersion breaker in Oblivion is the way that NPC 'zoom in' when you speak to them, and the whole of the rest of the world competely freezes in the background.

I guess it must have been around 1997, I went into a local computer game shop (back when such things existed!) and saw a copy of 'Daggerfall'. It was being promoted as a 'do anything you like in this sandbox world' kinda deal and that appealed to me so I bought it. I played it for a while, but the randomly generated nature of the world bugged me and I soon got a bit fed up it and it went onto the shelf.
Fast forward about four years and I heard about the follow up game, Morrowind. I read that it, by contrast with Daggerfall, the game world was hand-crafted, with everything specifically designed and put into place - yet was still huge! I was massively hyped about the game and bought it on the day of release. I played several hours per day for about 6 months until I finally vanquished Dagoth Ur. To this day, it is probably still my most immersive and profund gaming experience. Ok, it all feels a bit clunky nowadays, but back then it was absolutely streets ahead of anything else!

So I thought it would be cool for this months poll to look back over the past 25 years and ask one simple question: Which Elder Scrolls games have you played?
I've put the all the main series games into the poll so there isn't any option for 'something not mentioned in the poll' - just mark down those games you have played, as you can vote for multiple options in this poll.
It would also be cool to maybe tell us the FIRST Elder Scrolls game you played and a bit about how you got into the series in the first place.
Happy polling! less

We're all, I am sure, VERY familiar with the Whiterun quest 'In my time of need' - where you are faced with deciding whether Saadia or Kematu are telling you the truth. But which of them is being honest, and which is lying?
Vote in the poll and give your reasons on this thread!
If those poll goes well, we can have other 'moral choice' threads from Elder Scrolls and Fallout in coming months!

I'm actually less inclined to play Fallout 76 on 'free to play' than buying it - simply because it is inevitable that they are going to massively push a whole series of micro-transactions and - if the rumours are correct - loot boxes. In effect it will be more 'pay to win' than 'free to play'...
Let's be honest, the reason that they would consider going free to play is that almost nobody is now buying the game, not now that reviews have come along and demonstrated the inherent flaws within it. I suspect that once the pre-orders and the initial surge of 'day one' purchasers had been satisfied, the number of people actually purchasing the game plummeted like a stone. The almost-immediate price drops give evidence to that.
Here's a novel thought Bethesda - maybe if you actually fixed the many issues with the game, and introduced some NPCs to connect with (there's a built-in method for doing that by simply using DLC to open up the sealed Vaults in the game) then perhaps Fallout fans would be wi... less

I play quite a few board games, so I'm familiar with the genre - in this case an exploration / adventure game which draws surprisingly heavily on the Fallout lore. Combat is resolved by VATS dice, there is a SPECIAL board for each player, with traits and perks when you level up or discover in-game items
There are a number of scenarios to play, each of which is within a semi-randomly generated landscape (with certain key locations such as Diamond, CIT, South Boston, being fixed). There's a main storyline for each scenario, which is played out with a conflict between two in-game factions (in the first scenario you can side with the Railroad or the Institute, and the quests plays out differently for each. There's also a huge deck of sidequests, ... less

Cyberpunk 2077? I'm moderately excited about that simply because of it being the same people at The Witcher, probably my favourite RPG of all time. The setting for Cyberpunk 2077 isn't really my favourite, but if they pull off something as amazing as Witcher 3, then I can get on board with it.
Starfield? Well who knows? We don't know anything about it, but if Bethesda insist on going with the Creation Engine and continue on their endless quest to dumb down the RPG elements to get mass appeal, then probably not for me. less
