So, I don't know if anyone's a fan of the Fate series *cough*Deebs*cough*, but I've been reading this pretty cool mixed summons 5th War fic called Damascene. Reason I bring it up here: the Dragonborn is summoned as Servant Caster, and his characterisatio...  more

J.D. Primrose Yeah, that's the idea.  It's a tried and tested concept, but most of the ones I've seen use the 4th War instead of the 5th.

I'll be honest I tend to shy away from anything that is a multi-crossover (as in more than two additional worlds). I can enjoy either having a fully different HGW set in another universe with char...  more

J.D. Primrose It's a fair criticism - most of the ones I've seen are rather unimpressive with the scope of imagination put in to them - basically just the author thinking "Hmm, it would be cool to see these guys fight.  I'm gonna do that."  That said, there s...  more

SpookyBorn2021 I've started Damascene now and I have to say that it's really good so far. I like that the author has kept that somewhat secretive nature about everyone's servant in there since the beginning. Caster and Lancer are obvious to me but Saber is a bit harder ...  more

Plot bunny I've been hemming and hawing over for the last year or so: what if, while the dragonfires were unlit after Uriel Septim's assassination, Miraak broke free from Apocrypha and crowned himself Emperor of Tamriel?

A-Pocky-Hah! Interesting idea, but I think Miraak has a more grandiose goal than being Emperor of Tamriel. IIRC his real goal is something similar to Dagoth Ur's.

ilanisilver That would be interesting, Miraak breaking free with Hermaeus Mora likely on his heels, and realizing when he gets out that Mehrunes Dagon is going to be a problem. Talk about out of the frying pan and into the fire. What would someone like Miraak do? It ...  more
