For me elven definitely had the right feel for the character, ancient falmer armor could possibly work as well...

The elven armor is one thing but it's the elven weaponry that really contributes, if I was to re-run this character I'd be going with the amazing elven greatsword, it's one of the most delicious items in the game in my opinion.

The only thing I don't like about specialising in elven is the lack of material choices for levelling up smithing, just use enchanting to add damage and pay a little for some training...

I like Ancient Falmer more, plus it also requires elven smithing to make it better, and it is naturally better than elven. Pls I think it is a better fit for female characters. I want to play a character like this, but it could never do it without dawnguard (vampirism stage 4 isn't a fun roleplaying mechanic... It is idiotic and pointless...), but I have personal problems with Dawnguard until level 20...

Is there an excuse I can have for doing the quests to get the shouts? I hate just doing them to get a reward with no real reason behind it, and I feel as a vampire, my character wouldn't want to be near people too much as a vampire...

I can't RP for you mate, the shouts are a pretty heavy part of this character though so maybe it isn't for you...

If you want to do a shout-free playthrough try The Sorcerer, I didn't use a single shout for that one...

...but you're going to have to use enchanting.

I don't want to go shout free... But I don't want to just do a quest purely to get the reward, there has to be a roleplay reason for it, and there is none for a character like this...

It's actually rare that you go questing for a specific word wall anyway mate (unless you're actually following the word wall quests from the greybeards), most of them are picked up during normal questing...

This is a character that's scouring Skyrim for evil vampires, it makes sense that she's poking her nose in every dark hole she passes...

Like I said, I can't RP for you, everyone does it differently. After some of the heavy RP I've witnessed on this site it's a wonder some characters ever make it past Riverwood...

I'm just saying about slow time, it requires me to do the civil war and the college of winterhold... My priestess would not do those questlines, so I would only have he one word... Which would make it essentially pointless...

Maybe you should read the backstory again...

No, MY character wouldn't be near people in fear that she may feed on people and kill them.
