Ha ha, i know I keep waiting for the hammer to drop and end my fun.  Really it's because I know what's coming so I can plan for it.  So far I've had a few close calls and they were all either random encounters or I was exploring someplace new.

I've finished the playthrough for my Samurai and now it's time to start a brand new character that I've been cooking up lately. I present you...

    Name: The Valkyrie

    DOB: 28-Apr-2017

    Class Tag: Commando and Melee

    Difficulty: Hard

    Level Obtained: 4

    DoD: -

    Cause of Death: -

Description: The mad scientists in Vault 111 ran numerous medical procedures on Nora during cryo sleep, successfully infusing her bones with adamantium in the end. Waking up to a post apocalyptic world filled with suffering, loss and death, Nora found out her body is virtually indestructible. Ironic though, after losing her family, her home and everything related to her old life... she is just looking for a good death on the battlefield yet aims to take in the process as many scumbags with her as possible.

Well, I wasn't neccesarily playing a dead is dead build (as I was testing for an event) but I left Concord in good shape, found Carla and then noticed a Mr. Handy down the side road.  I decided to go check him out as I hadn't seen him ever before.  He was a skull character but not hostile.  Turned out he was a military Mr. Handy (forget what they are called).  I got two answers in discussion with him, was accused of being a Chinese spy and obliterated.  Well, as noted, glad it wasn't actually a DisD, reloaded and ran fast in the other direction.

lol I like that encounter, you can't can't persuade him you are not a spy because that is what a spy would say, but if you swear at him and insult him he says he does believe you are American and let's you go lol.

So, I'm coming up on a bit of a conundrum. I've been playing a survival build with a twofold objective: I had a build in mind with a focus on Far Harbor, but I figured that, when I died, I could post my obit, but then carry on with my build. But here I am, still alive, closing in on landmarks set for the main quest that I have have no intention of completing yet. Is there any objection to me varying from the landmarks, provided I push forward with the Far Harbor quest with the same pace?

haha awesome. no objections. the original landmarks were just there to ecnourage people to move about the world. since you've gone to arguably one of the most dangerous parts of the commonwealth - carry on!

I've been planning to do one soon, probably going to start it later, but with the added caveat of no healing items or healing perks like Life Giver, Cannibal, Ghoulish or Solar Powered.  On Very Hard, though, so I don't need to eat and drink.

Sounds cool Joshua! Make sure to post the character details when you get it up and running.

Here's Timmy!  Dead is dead, no healing outside level ups!

    Name: Timmy

    DOB: 03/05/17

    Class Tag: Sniper

    Difficulty Level: Very Hard

    Level Obtained: 3

    DoD: 03/05/17

Cause of Death: You know those guys who charge at you with a tire iron and then suddenly throw a molotov out of nowhere?  You know those two upstairs in the Museum of Freedom who don't want to "hang around waiting to get shot" and the narrow hallway?  I hate those guys.
