Skyrim Remastered Thread

It's great news for the console players. Honestly it feels like a cash grab to me, but then again I strongly feel that the Skyrim Blog is solely responsible for this remaster. I mean, we kind of kept Skyrim alive for so many years and, as a majority, we rejected their other titles, ESO and Fallout 4, even Oblivion and Morrowind. We've clearly shown Bethesda that we love Skyrim most out of ALL its products. So... they're just giving the fans what they think they want... all based on reception. I was hoping to be wrong and actually see Elder Scrolls VI. Maybe next year... if ever.

P.S. Fear not disappointed PC players, we'll get Mass Effect Andromeda!!!!

Or an extra $200 for a piece of plastic crap. Which is really tempting me by the way...

The Julianos edition is $280, so the game plus a 39cm shrine.

Shit...Now there is a real struggle. I don't know where I would even fit that Shrine of Julianos, but I will most likely do anything to manage it, just gotta shuffle around my, huh well 5 others pieces of 20+ cm pieces of plastic crap to try and fit it in somewhere...

I'll probably wait and see if they announce any other pre-order bonuses...I at least expect a Steel Case with that tbh, or a really nice map...I love nice maps

The other 'take home' from the Bethesda E3 is that we can now say with total certainty that we will NOT see Elder Scrolls VI until - at the VERY earliest - November 2017.

And that's only if they pull the 'Fallout 4 reveal' at next years E3 and announce the game and the release date at the same time. That might happen, but I wouldn't bank on it.

The most likely scenario now IMO is a teaser for Elder Scrolls VI at next years E3, gameplay at the 2018 E3 and a release in Autumn 2018.

Julianos... seriously!? Out of all the Nine... why?

That was my first thought as well. You'd think they'd at least go with Akatosh since he's related to the whole dragonborn thing. My guess for why they picked Julianos is because it's easy. It's just a pyramid, instead of a dragon swallowing a sword.

Because it's only logical to buy this game? They're trying to make us think it's a wise purchase?

But yeah, why not Akatosh or Talos? Both are just...well more fitting, but maybe there's a secret pun or joke I need to figure out here

2018 is my bet. The Skyrim Remastered is to get replay value (of which I totally agree with on the business end) and hold ES fans over till ESVI can be developed and released. My only serious question is how will the remastered affet existing mods. Currently I win because I bought Legendary on Steam, but do I want to DL it risking issues with current mods or will what exists be compatible? Unless there is new content or significantly updated graphics what I have I'm perfectly happy with. What I am hoping is seeing a resurgence of more players to share experiences , builds etc.
