Why You Should Play the Classics

  • August 4, 2015

Ah I think my opinion of Oblivion is coloured by my first experience with it. I was super excited for it when it came out and it was my first Elder Scrolls but when I played it after 10 minutes of leaving the prison it would freeze EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. no matter what I did. ANd it just pissed me off so much I never actually played it till a few years later when I bought the GOTY Edition.

Lol. I remember that time. My computer couldn´t handle that game too! I remember I was playing it just for week, finished Kvatch quest and that was all.

I´ve played it again after few years on new PC and boy, those hours I spent in that game... While I enjoyed Morrowind story and lore more, Oblivion gameplay was what kept me playing it. Gameplay in that time was really good compared to lot of other games that came out later.

The worst part is I was playing it on an Xbox 360.

If you have problems with rolling for attacks, I recommend Ponty's Guide. 90% chance quick.

Morroblivion? Is that a Morrowind mod for Oblivion? Better than Morrowind I presume?

It's Skywind, but with Oblivion instead of Morrowind.

I love morrowind (and this might look strange skyrim) but I just can't play Oblivion, to me it looks just too bad, magic is not good enough and land of Cyrodil is too boring.

    That´s a shame.

I am probably the strange one here, but I don´t find Oblivion looking that horrible. Might be because I can´t even remember how Vanilla game look because I modded the hell out of it. Mods can turn it into much better game.

And Cyrodiil...well, I find Imperial Province much more beautiful and interesting than Skyrim. It´s just those deep forests, green hills, lakes and rivers...for me the Cyrodiil is really much more interesting in many ways than Skyrim.

You see I live in place where it is more likely to find landscape of skyrim and even morrowind, so these games remains me home, while Imperial province looks too monotonic.
