I dunno the remaster looks great but can't I get that look with shaders on my Pc? Also is there any new gameplay or is it just all dlc and the new shiny original game?

They haven't said much more then that. The release for it is a couple of months away, so they should get around to telling us more at some point. Like the price.

Register your opinions in the new front page poll

My view is that this is great news. As a PS4 owner I now have a machine to play Skyrim on again, and I'll definitely be buying a copy. It will probably be full price, but - what the hell - its hundreds of hours of fun for about 30 quid here in the UK - plus I can now install mods. What's not to like?

    Don't bank it being cheaper.

Just seems like an easy cash grab by Bethesda so I'll probably pass on this one

Remove the word "Probably", and that's exactly my thoughts on the matter.

I'm PC player, it doesn't leave me thrilled. Bethesda have only small + from me for not cashing PC player for something that is basicaly a graphics mod for us - mod that will most likely bring more bugs and problems as I know Bethesda. So yeah. Pass.

You people do make me laugh sometimes.

There is absolutely ZERO chance of Bethesda re-mastering Morrowind - which, in effect, would be like starting over and creating a new game.

Bethesda is a commercial entity, driven by profits and money. They aren't interested in spending thousands of hours of development time remaking fourteen year old game that would only appeal to a small band of devoted followers (and I speak as someone who loved Morrowind back then)

Remastering Skyrim is no brainer for them. They already said that they started the Fallout 4 development by porting Skyrim to PS4, so quite a bit of the work was already done at that point. The mod support was figured out in Fallout 4 development, so again that work was already done. Add in a few shaders and graphic tweaks and the work is basically completed.

For VERY little actual development time they have a product that will sell very well in the Autumn. Why wouldn't they do it? I repeat - its all about the bottom line!

You guys need to accept that, and you won't end being so disappointed when you don't get what you want.

Honestly, I would rather buy a Legendary Edition Skyrim for my PS3 since the only benefit I get from it is a more 'seamless' gameplay in comparison to my low-end laptop.

    Thus, I'll pass.

Just a reminder, be on a lookout for Unofficial Remastered Edition Patch (UREP) in the coming future. Glad console players can now download mods eh?

I hate you and your currency...

If it is full price, that's anywhere from $80-100 here. Now I just have to wait for someone to point out that pirating it is free or that there currency is even worse off.
