    Aye, it's my spellchecker...

Did some brief testing on emergency protocols/lone wanderer on the playthrough but I did it in the field and couldn't work it out conclusively, it definitely reduced a ton of damage...

I managed to find an older save and went back to do some more detailed tests using one of my own frag mines. Bear in mind that I have demolition expert maxed and wearing a full suit of shielded X-01 armor...

Without Emergency Protocols or Lone Wanderer 2/3 my mine consistently did 124 damage.

With Emergency Protocols that damage was reduced by slightly more than 50% down to 60 damage...

With Emergency Protocols AND Lone Wanderer 2/3 the damage was reduced to just 42 points...

This suggests that they get applied separately...

For example if you take a big 100 damage shot while low on health Emergency Protocols reduces that damage to 50...then Lone Wanderer does its bit and reduces that 50 down to 35.

So it's around 65% damage reduction.

Overall, you don't really want to be that low on health at all, I usually start reaching for my stimpack at about 30% health. Medic Perk/Medic Pump sounds like the ultimate defense...

    EDIT:

Managed to answer another question tonight after landing a Junkie's Gauss Rifle, the addictions add a ton of damage to these weapons but the great thing about them is that if you take more of the same drug the weapons damage bonus remains but the negative properties of the addiction are suppressed (because you're still technically addicted), you can get all the benefits and toggle off the weaknesses.

A junkie build would be pretty interesting. Wear rags, spend all your money on chems, and basically try and get hooked on anything under the sun. The only thing you'd really need, I guess, is the Chemist Perk, to cook up better stuff and have it last longer.

Cricket, Solomon, mama Murphy, and that dude in good neighbor would be your best buddies too :p

I don't know if you've considered posting more "Photoshopping with Mason" tutorials, but if you do, I'd love to see how you make your perkspreads. They just look so good (particularly this and the Hetetic).

Still struggling to find good X01 shots on the net to be honest, guess the game is still too fresh, most of them are ugly paint jobs...

Not considered doing anymore tutorials, may get around to it when I finally get more time. Thanks though!

I feel your pain on the X-01 images, I've only managed to find two - the one you used in your title image, and this all-white one which I had to darken and completely desaturate to make it look semi-alright...

I like the power armor, but my blitz - black widow build will simply burn the fusion cores non stop. I wish they made the armor harder to get and less a hassle to charge up, maybe in a settlement once upgraded enough. + 1 from me

That's true, power armor is too accessible. I disagree on the fusion cores though... I have a character with over 200 who roams around in power armor with a Gatling laser

Not at first. If I have to choose between core hunting and exploring the map, hunting will go low in my gameplay. For now, I plan to use the armor to patrol Red Rocket just to show my new paint to whatever denizens come around.

I didn't know you could find weapon mods from enemies, or buy them.
