Updated the last post a bit, adding a tombstone for the death, as is my custom. I just forgot to add it when first making the post. :P

TBH, she's really not important at all, gameplay-wise. But damn if that isn't an impressive body count!

Welp, having reached Level 16 means I can don a new armor tier! Now, Rahzam is decked out in mostly Steel armor, as opposed to Iron. I also added some Medium Armor for more DPS, though you can't really notice it. And I finally got enough money to get an ESO plus subscription, which led to more Crown Crates and, by extension, a cool guar mount!

    Isn't she a cutie?

Once I finished with Razham's new gear, I went to find Jimila to finally get to Grahtwood! She offers a bet: Match her drink for drink, or get to do laundry on the ship. The specifics of just what the hell happened are never elaborated on. Apparently, Rahzam somehow lost... Not that you can't Intimidate or Persuade Jimila otherwise.

    Lol.

Unfortunately, upon arrival at the port of Haven, things have... Not gone well.

Pirates? In your port? It's more likely than you think.

Yep, some evil pirate dudes have taken the city. Go talk to the Lieutanant, who tells you to find Gharesh-ri, Speaker of the Mane and generally cool dude. To get to the city, though, you need to traverse the swamps, which are chock-full of Valenwood's unique fauna and flora.

    ARRRRGGGHHH

When you've found the dude, he tells you to get the pirate's orders. You can either eavesdrop on them via stealth, or just whack them and steal their papers. Naturally, I prefer murder, but to each their own. When all three pirate captains are dead and/or spied on, go find the sewer entrance, and chat with the Lieutenant about the pirates' necromantic plan. The pirates in the sewers have healers, which are annoying; be sure to interrupt their spellcasting. The wamasu (a.k.a giant electric lizard from Black Marsh) is actually pretty easy to kill. Then, open the fort for Gharesh's forces. He tells you to stop the ritual while he and his soldiers distract the pirates. Be warned: The pirate boss is really tough, especially with her mage backup.

Once she's whacked, find the Lietenant, who seems badly injured. You can tell the sad truth, that she might die, or lie and give her some hope. You never learn if she does make it.

Stayin' alive, stayin' alive. Hah, hah, hah, hah...

Anyhoo, that's pretty much the end of the Haven quest. Now we can focus on getting to the capital of Elden Root to tell the Bosmer king we can help him out... Or we can good off for a while. I prefer the latter, myself.

That's all for this post! Thanks for reading.

Stayin' alive, stayin' alive. Hah, hah, hah, hah...

    Hahaa!!

A Khajiit on a guar, on a tree. Wtf? Funny that my Argonian is riding a cat, so go figure.

TBH, the guar screencap was taken as soon as I saw how funny it looked. Thanks for reading!

Right-o! I returned to Auridon for a little bit after Haven, mostly to hunt down Skyshards. However, I also managed to run into some travelers, who were trying to get a fire going. Being a nice chap not only feels good, it also boosts your Stamina for a bit, so I'd recommend helping these folks out when you see them.

    Khajiit liek raw fish

I then popped back to Grahtwood, where I traveled to the village of Brackenleaf, which is protected by the Briars. Rahzam gets the brilliant idea to try and join this order, which is made up entirely of Wood Elves. Thankfully, they don't care if you're a Khajiit. To join this tree-hugger cult, talk to Glaras, who tells you to visit three shrines around the village. These shrines represent three animals and hunting styles: The Snake, which uses stealth, the Tiger, which uses strength, and the Wolf, which uses teamwork. You learn these ideas by whiffing what I can only assume is drugs.

    420 blaze it

Then, talk to Glaras again, who tells you to find a frog... And eat it. This will get you, again, quite high, to the point that it's not clear if the events of the quest actually happen or not.

    Bruuuuh... My head is purple...

Fight your way through the hallucinatory (?) monsters, and find the Brackenleaf, an ancient tree made by Y'ffre itself. For being a semi-divine plant, he's pretty chill.

    The trees have eyes, maaaan...

He tells you to choose your spirit animal. I chose Tiger, partially due to their hunting style of brute force being similar to Rahzam, but also partially because Rahzam himself is very tiger-like. Depending on which animal you choose, you have to kill the other two animals. These fights aren't very tough. Then, go inside Brackenleaf, and fight the Briars alongside your spirit animal. The point here is that, before you join them, you are their Outsider, representing how hunted and hunter are interchangable terms. Or maybe these elves are just really high. Who knows?

    Look at the pre-tty tiger...

Once the master Briars are whacked (they're just illusions), grab the Heart. This leads to a snazzy effect.

My hands are on fire, duuuude!

That's pretty much it. Talk to Glaras, pray at the animal shrine, talk to Glaras again, and the quest is over. Beyond the normal quest rewards of gold and gear, you also get to use the various Brackenleaf shrines scattered throughout Grahtwood, which provide a nice passive for a while. And so endeth the saga of Rahzam's drug-addled quest.

That's all for this post! Thanks for reading.

During my screwing off in Grahtwood, I came across the ruins of Ne Salas. The gist of things here is that the Covenant is using a portal there to invade Valenwood, and it's naturally up to us to stop them. Seriously, Rahzam should get a raise by now, with all the saving he's doing. Oh well, at least the ruins' lore was pretty interesting.

Actually, the Bosmer are known for allowing refugees to the Green, which ties into our next area objective: The Gray Mire. This is a swamp that the Wood Elves kindly gave to some Argonian refugees fleeing the Pact. Only, with the Dominion around, the poor lizard-folk are under suspicion. The rather nice Thalmor lady sends you to get proof of their innocence. You need to talk to three elders: A very pleasant woman who wants to be a Spinner (I'm serious), Slim-Jah, the nasty one that you either Persuade to give you her info or fight her guards, and No-Fingers. He's asleep at first, but a handy bucket of water will fix that. He actually is pretty swell, despite the rude awakening, and gives a marvelous explanation for his name.

    Makes sense, actually.

Then, once you've talked to everyone, attend the meeting. The wannabe-Spinner and the nasty elder get into an argument, which ends with the former dead and the latter on the run, planning to attack the Dominion.

    Top Ten Anime Twists (2017)

Naturally, if Slim-Jah actually does attack the Dominion, the tribe is screwed, so No-Fingers sends you to track her hunters down and whack them. This isn't too difficult thanks to the tiny guar he gives you, but watch out for the wamasu wandering around; they're far tougher than most normal enemies. When the hunters are dead, find No-Fingers again, who tells you Slim is trying to control a giant wamasu named Mother Lightning. He also reveals that both of them were Shadowscales, which raises the interesting question of how they go about retiring. Because of this, he can't kill her himself, though he does give you a bigger guar that's surprisingly useful in killing Slim-Jah's forces.

Fight through the various hunters and reach Slim-Jah, who is apparently mind-wiping Mother Lightning with some spell. This fight can be pretty though, especially seeing as how Lightning is even more resilient than normal wamasu.

You are feeling veeeery sleepy... And hungry.

Once that's done, you have to talk to the Thalmor lady again. She's rightfully suspicious of sounds of fighting, but you can lie to her to protect the tribe. I did so, mostly because I felt sorry for the poor dudes there. And that's pretty much it for the Gray Mire! On another note... Can Shadowscales retire? And if so, how? I demand lore on this!

That's all for this post! Thanks for reading.

Having reached Level 20 means we're off to do the next Main Quest bit! Upon completion of the last quest, the Prophet tells you there's an "unexpected guest" at the Harborage, which turns out to be quite true.

    A wild Tharn appeared!

Yep, Abnur Tharn has popped up in person to ask you a simple favor: asylum. Turns out, he and Mannimarco don't quite get along (mainly because Manny is pure unfiltered evil and Abnur, while a jerk, is a staunch Imperial patriot). And since necromancers have a tendency to kill their enemies and use their bodies as butlers, Abnur requests to hide out with the Prophet and co. In return, he offers the location of Sai Sahan and the Amulet, so (despite Lyris' objections) we're off to Manny's place to rescue him.

    MTV, check out my crib!

Talk to a Soul Shriven slave in the town outside, then find Cadwell, who is menaced by a very tough cultist. Kill him and his friend, and talk to the nutty knight. He tells you of a secret cistern entrance, which is our best bet of getting into the castle. With the help of your companions, fight your way through the Daedra and watch him unlock the door. Fight some more, then listen to Tharn. He tells you that to get through the door, you need to build your own flesh atronach. Gathering the flesh is a simple affair, but do not go to the pile of flesh near the gargoyle. He will murder you, most probably, and you can get the flesh you need without going there. Then, once the meaty bits are obtained, you must perform the ritual to raise your very own little abomination.

He's so cute! And so utterly horrible!

Fight through more Daedra, whack the cultists, and meet Abnur in person. As aforementioned, he's a jerk, but he's enjoyable enough. He also tells you of Manny's real plan: to replace Molly B. using the Amulet of Kings and become a god! Which is a cool nod to TESII: Daggerfall, where apotheosis was his goal too. Unfortunately, as he tells you this, things start to go badly.

"Nyeh, Daddy! I don't wanna!" -Abnur Tharn (I swear, this is 100% true)

Fight the waves of skellys Manny sends your way, and then whack him while he's distracted with Abnur's return.

    Tonight on Dragonball Z!

As you make your escape, you run into Cadwell, who asks if she should go back to Tamriel. I always say yes, because really it's the most healthy thing for him to do at this point. Go through the Prophet's portal, and witness Abnur revealing he does not, in fact, know Sai's location... And the respone from Lyris.

But this cannot and does not compare to the twist the Prophet throws at you afterwards.

Cue the movie BWAAAAAAAAAM sound effect!

Yep, the Prophet turns out to be the ex-Emperor responsible for this whole mess. He is, however, very apologetic and wants to make amends, so I forgive him. The quest ends on that note, so I went and had Rahzam read a nice book.

Probably steamy fan-fiction. Hide your children.

That's all for this post! Thanks for reading.
