You have to press the buttons more or less simultaneously. Timing is very important. As I said in the post, I recommend saving before you try the trick so you can reload if it doesn't work. There may be a video on YouTube that shows the timing; I'll see if I can dig something up. If not, I'll try to make one myself once I get Skyrim installed on my new rig.

He worded it wrong, the shout timer has no effect on powers. I've tried to break this game mechanic a few times, i wish it were this easy!

It's been a while since I did the trick, and like I said, it may work differently on PC compared to 360. I'll try to put together a quick video demonstration tonight though, assuming it works the same.

A few people were asking for it, so I went ahead and made a quick video showing just what to do.

In case it's not clear: Press the button to transform at the SAME TIME as you press the button to initiate dialog. (I suggest saving first, in case you don't get the timing right.) Then, give your five amulets to your follower, switch over to his inventory, and equip the amulets DIRECTLY from his inventory, one at a time. The button to equip should be RT/R2 on 360/PS3. SkyUI adds an "Equip Mode", which is what I'm using, but I believe there's a button on PC to equip directly even if you don't use SkyUI.

Does method 3 still work? I tried countless times to do it. Menu just goes to 'Wait Here', then change into beast.

Finally said 'stuff it!' and used the console command. I am trying this build and so far it is good fun.

It does work, unless you're using the unofficial patches. There's a video in the comment above yours that shows me doing it with the last official patch active.

I AM using the unofficial patches. Those guys really know how to not have fun.

Thanks for the quick response Teccam.

Sure thing. Try out this mod: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/34302/?

It should "fix" the Fortify Restoration trick without forcing you to uninstall the unoffical patches.
