    Awwwooo Axius.

Well if you are having a few problems then maybe we can help. Feel free to paste the part you're having problems with. How mute is she? What I mean is this.

Can she grunt? Make any sounds at all? even "Urghh".

My werewolves can't talk so I portray their thougths with snarls and growls. If your char can make a very few noises then you have an ideal opputunity to use this as a way of empowering her thoughts.

She's totally mute and can only communicate through sign languages and facial expression. She has this 'facade' where she appears sweet, naive and innocent on the outside but she's just doing that because she likes to tease. Inside her mind she's actually mature, but has a bit of that cocky attitude one would expect from a young thief.

    Huh, mute character.

Hmm, I think that you might want to focus more on direct thoughts. Like you know, character talking with herself in her head, because that´s pretty much the only dialogue the character can have. What are you trying to say, Karver? Ah, nothing, nevermind me, I´m just thinking and talking with myself. Well, stop that then, it´s crazy.

Something like that, maybe? I know I had Decimus doing this a lot in Cursed Tribe and he was switching between thoughts and speaking out loud, replying to himself.

Might help flesh the character out a little bit.

I'm writing in a first-person narrative so that gives me more ideas for how I would interpreted what my character is saying.

It'll be similar to how Okan writes his characters in Dragon of the East.

Regarding interaction with other characters, I've establish to ways on how my character communicates with others. One is through sign languages which will be giving a special dialogue format to distinguish it from the others. The dialogue will be in italics while words that are meant to be emphasized are writing in normal.

Example: I made a few hand signs. “Did you forget about the ‘burned to the ground’ part?

The second one is more descriptive, using body languages, facial expressions and hand signs.

Example: I stomped my feet on the ground, getting his attention. I folded my arms, giving him a stern look before pointing a finger up in the sky. It took him just a glance to know what I was trying to say.

So that's how I'd figure I should write my chapters based on the PoV of a mute character.

Well, you have it figured out. Now write it! :)

Sounds good to me. A few basic hand signals will help as well. Eating is easy as is anger. Making a fist says plenty and there's also the rebulk. This can be done in two ways. Forst, slap the person on the back of the head. Secondly, point to the person and slap the palm of your own hand with the back of your other hand. It make s aloud 'slap' noice without causing any pain to your self.

Teeth is one I use which you can adopt easily. Having her brandish her teeth is a great way of forcing someone to back away from her. This might be a bit too animalistic for you though. Works great with Aela in my story...

Example. I was so fed up of being shoved aside in the market. When the blacksmith headed in my path I brandished my teeth at him, warning him to stay out of my way. The poor man looked terrified as if I had rockjoint. 'Food' I tried to say by nearly shoving three fingers in my mouth. I swear these market holders are dumb at times.

If you want a book that uses 1st person to good effect, take a look at 'I, Jedi' by Michael Stackpole.

Guys, Lutherus is now enrolled at the College of Winterhold. Something which I will be exploring in the next chapter of his named series.

I wanted to ask you all, if you use any mods that extend the timeline and immerse the player with College life of the Winterhold quest line? I remember playing it on the XBOX 360 before and I was sorely disappointed to have completed it in a day or two.

I use the Immersive College of Winterhold. Doesn't add to the questline though, save a really kick ass quest once you become Arch-mage. There may be other things though, I've not yet fully explored it. I will say this, however, one of my new builds is actually level 20 now and he's pretty much only done college-related quests. Lots to do in the the college if you focus on Urag's and Sergius' quests. Urag gives the fetch a book quests, which can sometimes make you delve into some dangerous locations. My build has had to delve into ruins and now into the Falmer-infested Sightless Pit. He also gives Shalidor's Insights, another fetch quest. Sergius often needs supplies and gathering those supplies can be pretty immersive. He also sends you to college items to be enchanted from npcs, sometimes these even take you to Solstheim. Arniel Gane also has his quest. You also, when your magic skill is high enough, the ritual spells for each school.

Don't rush through the main quest. Why be Arch mage right away? The way I roleplay, I take forever to get from Saarthal to Hitting the books. Takes time to study an Orb and then bring it all the way from Saarthal to the college.

I just downloaded ICW, and it looks so good. I also got the scroll crafter mod, and the staff enchanter here in Winterhold mod as well. I won't be rushing into the mainline quests in fact I may just ignore it for as long and delayed as possible.
