Nah, you don't luck out to do that.  A great quality build sir.

    Really cool build!

She reminds me of one of my Altmer characters, who also went against tradition, though she was also a little bit insecure for an Altmer :')

Crap, now I want to make another Altmer character and I already have three :') oops

It's interesting: I don't often play Altmer characters, but I always have a lot of fun with them when I do, so I definitely understand the attraction! ;D

Imma let you finish, but Vorstag is the best husbando of all time

This was a nice read!  I like the Altmer playing against type.  I also rather like Belrand's commentary around Skyrim, yep.  And it's nice to see an unarmed build that doesn't use any of the common exploits.  Did you take Fire/Frost/Shock Enchanter perks just for enchanted bow damage?

Nah Chris, it's too easy for Bretons to find love (and acceptance) in Skyrim.  They are the master race, after all

    Thanks Librari! :D

It's funny, but after all this time I have yet to use Vorstag as a follower (which is kind of weird considering I have heard nothing but good things about him). I attribute it to my dislike of Markarth (I still haven't gotten over my initial shock of being thrown into Cidhna mine xD). I will say this... Vorstag is a LOT easier on the eyes than Belrand ;D

But looking back now, I think that's also part of the reason why I chose Belrand; for some obtuse reason I wanted to take on characteristics of the game that a large majority of people (myself included) are biased against--Altmer, Belrand, Stormcloaks, unarmed combat--I wanted to throw them all together in a way that was fun to play (for me, at least ;D)

I did take the Fire/Frost/Shock Enchanter perks solely for the boost they gave to my bows. I originally played this with archery perks, but did so much killing from afar that unarmed combat was more like a backup. Unperked and unbuffed Archery guaranteed that I'd have to use unarmed, but also felt like a waste of time because it does next to nothing... almost better off running up to stuff and start swinging right away. But unperked Archery with those Enchanter perks was a wonderful balance; it softened up mobs and did a good job whittling away at flying dragons, but still gave me plenty of opportunities to use those gauntlets ;D

In High Rock at least :P

Actually, Skyrim has given me what Oblivion never did: an appreciation for every playable race (even Orcs xD). Still, when TES VI makes its way to my computer, my first character will be a ronin-style Dunmer rogue/spellsword with a heart of gold.

Oh, okay.  You never mention bow enchants in the build proper, and perk spreads have to be super tight on mini-builds, so I figured you had to be making extensive use of them.  I'd probably try to cut it down to only fire myself, put the extra two perk points into Restoration or pick up a couple of the esoteric heavy armor perks.  But then I'd be missing out on more powerful shock bows to disable dragons and mages.

Hmm... good point. I was lacking specificity there. I actually kept one of each: fire for undead, cold for heavy melee, and (as you said) shock for mages and dragons. I like enchanting (which means I usually go heavy on the perks), but this time it fit in with my RP as well ;D
