Khajiit have the Sand Behind the Stars and the Dunmer have the House of Boethiah (or at least the ones that don't remain as ancestor spirits do).  No idea what concept of afterlife the Bretons have though.

As for Bretons...honestly, who gives a shit about Bretons? But I think that Bretons would have something between Altmeri Aetherius and Imperial Heaven.

There isn't much of anything about it tbh, Vivec mentions it in his Sermons a few times the most prominent one being the prayer he says to his mother and again to his son when they both die:

'The fire is mine:

let it consume thee,

And make a secret door

At the altar of Padhome

In the House of Boet-he-ah

Where we become safe

And looked after.' 

Always had trouble reading Sermons...

Anyway, how do you think this relates to the fact that Dunmer can bring back spirits of their ancestors? Could be that House of Boethiah is basicaly something between life and death? Some kind of...Soul Cairn, but for Dunmer?

Possibly, the Dunmer have a room in their houses called the Waiting Door and it's set out in veneration of their ancestors and is meant to represent the door to Oblivion. So maybe the spirits can transverse to and from the House of Boethiah through the Waiting Door whenever they are needed. Maybe the House of Boethiah is just another name for Boethiah's realm?

This would only apply to the spirits that don't volunteer to become part of a ghost fence though.

Hm. It would make sense no? For Dunmer to go to Attribution's Share (or Snake Mount) when they die. House of Boethiah doesn´t have to be a name but maybe metaphor for "Boethiah´s Plane of Oblivion).

Though it makes me wonder: Why Attribution´s Share? Why not Moonshadow or the Spiral Skein? Maybe because Boethiah is attributed to be strongest of Reclamations? Because Attribution´s Snare is similar to Morrowind in the fact that it basicaly tests its denizens?

Hold on, some new info I just reminded myself about just scanning the Sermons. Vivec builds his own realm called the Provisional House at the centre of the Secret Door. So possibly that is the House of Boethiah? It would make sense that ALMSIVI would claim the souls of their worshipers rather than let them go straight to the Daedra. So it might just essentially be a Tribunal Soul Cairn.

It's likely that the Chimer would have went to the actual realm of Boethiah when they died.

As for why Boethiah, it's never stated but he's essentially the "first among equal" of the Good Daedra. He was the first to contact the Chimer and teach them about the Psijic Endeavor and "how to build Houses". He was also the Anticipation of Ayem who was the oldest, most loved and most powerful of the Tribunal.

Ha, sounds like Vivec. Building a door inside a door. So with Tribunal, the souls of...Tribunal followers got sucked into Provisional House. Those who did not, Dissident Priests and Ashlanders, went to Attribution´s Share.

In theory. But it´s a theory I can live with, I like it.
