Chaotic neutral I suppose - Disdain for the rich and powerful, sympathy for the commonfolk as she's from a slum in/around Daggerfall, but ultimately out for herself. Would rather not screw others (that she sympathises with) over, but no significant altruistic intentions either. If someone has to get hurt, she'd rather they be the rich/priveleged/predatory, but she's far from a robin hood.

While I'm asking for help, I've been thinking about my other current character too. I'm going for more of a classic hero here - a wealthy noble, likes taverns and travelling companions, and fights juggernaut-style with full heavy armor and a greatsword. Fights for duty to the noblity, for money, for tavern stories, though not so much for classic knighthood like protecting the weak and damsels. But that could get boring - I want to mix it up a bit and give him some other motivation / quirk / backstory and haven't quite found the inspiration I'm looking for.

    Sorry Arceuthinus, been really busy.

What have you established about the character so far? You mention backstory as something you wanna mix up, so I think I can help you if I have an idea of what you've got so far.

Oh, no problem! I've been busy too. Here's what I have so far:

I'm using the "Alternate Start" mod with the game beginning with a shipwreck off Dawnstar. My character was brought up in coastal [High Rock or Hammerfell]* by a single Nord parent, hearing and reading tales about Skyrim, and got a ride on a merchant vessel to Solitude, which crashed on the rocks due to the lighthouse being out (in my RP, I'm acting as if Jaree-Ra pulled his stunt at the start of my game and my character was on the ship). He lost everything in the wreck and worked the mines and smithy in Dawnstar until he was able to afford armor and find work taking contracts for the Jarl.

*I'm used to pen-and-paper RP in a fictional world me and my friends made, and am trying to develop RP characters in Skyrim better according to TES lore- so I'm not sure where Nord merchants would likely be. I doubt they would be in Morrowind, since there would be little economic reason to go there.

First off I really like that you're including in game events in your backstory, that's really cool.

So if I understand correctly this is a Nord lad who wants to go back to Skyrim and is now starting at rockbottom. He wants to fight for nobility and money and all that good stuff, but he's not necessarily a hero.

Sounds like he wants to experience the 'true' Nordic life that he's missed but feels like he needs to experience, especially if he's been brought up hearing stories of heroes in the land. So maybe his quirk could be overcompensation in some way? He needs to slay every bad guy, down every pint of mead, be as Nordy as a Nord can be because he's self conscious that he's not. This could lead him to all sorts of bother, and definitely an identity crisis or two - what if he doesn't align himself with the Stormcloaks, what does that make him?

You could also take this character down a dark path if general mercenary stuff gets boring. Becoming ultra Skyrim for the Nords or maybe even the opposite, killing others for being more Nordy than him, or because they're less than Nordy than him as they're pathetic or weak.

I just had an idea for a dual-wielding skirmisher who grew up hearing stories of various warriors who always beat swarms of opponents despite being outnumbered. Are there any relatively open areas where it's one-on-multiple aside from the arena in Dimhollow Crypt, the Chantry of Auri-el, and the Boneyard?

The Companions starter quest? Seems perfect for someone who wants to imitate the stories of age-old warriors.

Is there a Daenerys Targaryan build around here somewhere? I'm rewatching GoT and got in the mood for a cool dragon-princess playthrough. I had a few ideas for one but I'm not sure if there's already one here that is fleshed out. I did search and found a post that one might get done, but I can't find if one was ever completed.

Hey, Monica, I think this question belongs in the Character Build Recommendations Thread.

Can anachronistic/ cross-genre images work in a roleplay profile? I’m putting together a profile based off the series Peaky Blinders, and I’m having trouble finding Skyrim-appropriate images that really suit the profile. Would an artistic image of Tommy Shelby just completely ruin the immersion? Or would it be ok, depending on how it’s done?
