Welcome To The Story Corner

I am planning on writing about my main yes, but with the addition of characters that makes sense with that character, like what you did. I am going to write a story with him and Kynareth and Archarnel fighting boethiah and her minions alongside Angof and the bloodthorn cultists.

Sotek, My main character is an Argonian vampire lord. I have to read the entirety of your Union Of The Wolf story. Your story is easily the most interesting story on TSC.

    Hahaha Hircine bless you Blindcurve

I have come to accept a fact regarding U.O.T.W. No-one is ever going to start my story from the begining now, except for me when I re-read it to my wife. (Aela the Huntress-Tamriel Vault profile). As I often do.

This sounds negative of me but my story is now simply way, way too long.

The average reading speed is what? Lets say 200 words a minute. It will take someone over three and a half days of solid reading to read my story so far. I still have sixty odd chapters to post this year.

Every month the chances of someone reading my whole story gets smaller and smaller.

    I have still to write:-

End of Stormcloak rebelion and unification.

    Dawnguard

    Morrowind Slave plot.

    Sotek's family

    Aela's mother

    Aela's father and Solstheim

Black Marsh Slave and Temple plot

Hides in the Mist (No... Not telling who she is)

    Various Morrowind sub plots

    Cyrodiil plots ( Fair few)

    Cyrodiil Mages guild plot

    Various Hunting Ground plots

    and the list goes on.

Oh yes, and Sheogorath... Need to sort him out. Mind you that then leads to Ebony's story plot....

So ermmm Haha... Yea, not likely anyone will ever start my story from teh begining but I thank you for your sentiment.

Looking forwards to your story though.

    Sotek Loyal Hound of Hircine.

Damn thats another plot to sort out....

I will read all of your story, Sotek. Why aren:’t you featured in the interview with the authors section of TSC?

Why am I not featured.... Good question.

The answer is... I passed on the offer ages ago.

Why? The way I see it is like this.... I hope a good few people read this and understand it.

As a host of T.S.C. I'm one of the pack Alphas. It's up to us hosts to drive our group/pack forwards in not only creativity but also moral and spreading out the wings of each member. Writer's interviews are a great way of doing this. It's a massive moral boost to the writer. To know it is thier work which has been highlighted and to be able to talk about their own writing and time here in T.S.C, knowing everyone in T.V. will get to see it and what they have created. It gives an opputunity for them to have their work highlighted on the site to a much wider audience than just in T.S.C.

Think of a story as an acorn. Small and insignificant in it's starting phase.

Yet, as the story grows and plots and sub-plots stretch out like branches, the writing itself changes and grows. The writer learns more words, expands their volcabulary and learns how to use those words better. Like the trunck of the tree, thier writing grows stronger and descriptions become more colorful and varied. Their story becomes brighter.

This is where the spreading out pays off on such a grand scale. Consider these two scenarios.

Two people, Mrs. A. and Mr. B post their stories amongs other writers. Mrs. A only reads Mr. B's work and Mr. B. only reads Mrs. A's work.

This is great as each member has someone who supports their work and probably leaves a like, adding a bit of moral to the writer.

Mrs C. However, reads a lot more members work. She has access to a whole variety of writing skills as each member brings a unique perspective in T.S.C. We all have our own life experiances which shows in what we write. We use different words and explain things differently. Ok, some writers might not bother looking at her own work, which is a shame as they loose all her knowledge and they loose out in what she can bring to T.S.C. but she has access to a whole variety of members and skills.

The amount of members we have who writes blogs have, between us such an enormous amount of experiance, skill and variation that its simply mind boggling that some choose not to tap into it. So many members explain things in so many different ways the the possibility of learning from them is simply too vast to count.

This is why I am not featured. I'm not so another may take that spot. With it I hope they stick to their story, tap into the wealth of knowedge we have here between us in a single collective known as T.S.C. So many times I have seen a writer loose heart and walk away.  Which is a shame, no matter how good or bad their writing is. Does their skill matter when we look at the greater picture? Everytime someone quits we loose thier knowledge and their experiances forever.

Some poeple don't like to read a badly written story. Some won't even look at it. I think this is a terrible shame and I like nothing better than to see someone who is struggling and to stand alongside them with a few basic pointers and over time watch them grow in strength and quality. I do this in the hope that they will one day, when their stories and skills are strong that they will see someone struggling and stand with them, passing on all they have learned to the new member.

This is how we grow... This is the only way for any group to not only survive but thrive, by support, learning and aiding eachother.
this is why I am not featured in teh Writer's Interviews, because I would much rather it went to someone else and see them shine in T.V. I'd rather it went to them and with it, an opputunity for them to grow.

In the story, how did Sotek get his name? All Quentarii was doing was looking at the dragon statue and then she said she would name the hatchling Sotek. I am loving the story so far. It has a nice mix of humor and adventure.

And to add to what Sotek said about features. I was the fist person interviewed but I wasn't a TSC host yet when I was interviewed. As a general rule, Sotek and I don't really like putting our stuff in the spotlight much. My Path of the Aprax was featured this past week by Sotek because, lol, Argonians and stories set in Argonia that heavily feature their unusual customs and lore are quite rare. :D I tried to stop him. You got some bashful hosts here, Blindcurve, it just feels messed up tooting your own horn, you know? I can barely recommend my own builds, it just feels so wrong, arrogant.

So we sort of rely on people tooting for us, and we've been encouraging each other and other writers along the way. Our focus has always been on other writers. I'm glad you're reading UOTW. Sotek and I have the longest still acitve fanfiction blogs on TV.  Sotek's first blog was May of 2014 (he didn't post a second one until almost a year later) and mine was late April, 2015, so almost our blogs are the same age, and I think we even started writing around the same time, because I had posted Aelberon's stuff on Steam first. I remember, man, sometimes, in the beginning, it was just me and Sotek reading each other's stuff. TSC has grown a lot since then.

I read all of part one of straag in under a week, it’s a mountain to climb with works like what Liss and Sotek have built but every now and again someone crazy like me does come along and start it all from the begging....

Lol, it's crazy isn't it? So many words. I have no idea how many words I have.
