Suggestion Box

Well, I was talking to Relycs there, and a bit to Curse but mostly in response to the original discussion.

I agree that the group will be smaller, can't help that really and that Builds are going to be the primary reason people are here.

I guess I'm confused because I too read the page but then you called Chris and I out for posting non-build games/information on the site.  But if we don't start "generic" discussions about games...then there won't be any Lore, Tips/Tricks or anything else to talk about anyway if we aren't discussing the game itself to some extent.

Nah, I said you couldn't post them as General Discussions, but that if they would have a Building, Lore or Roleplay focus then it'd be fine. The discussions you guys posted were basically here's a game that's coming out, let's talk about it. That doesn't really have a focus that goes with the group

Oh. . . I didn't realize that general discussions about games weren't really the focus. I guess my DD: Dark Arisen fits into that category, too.

It could be easily changed though, and I'm trying not to be strict about it but or still rather have a concrete focus, or three

I've been thinking about this and maybe we should start a discussion where the goal is to find out what games the community is actually playing. Just for some days, and then we throw that into a POLL to see if there are more people playing those games.
Because if you know there are like 100 people playing one specific game, building for it could become a success, rather than building for a game where you cant be sure there are people interested in.
I think "we should" isn't correct; we HAVE TO do that.

Way ahead of you there mate, minus the polls, the group has 3 Discussions dedicated to this, and we've had a collective reply count of nearly 250, but we've still only got a few people commenting.

I'll do up some Polls with a good dozen or so games, and start a separate discussion though, it won't end up on the main page but I can at least see if people will respond.

Remember, the issue isn't that people aren't playing games, because I'm sure a majority of the Vault are playing other games right now, the problem is nobody is willing to step forward and post something, regardless of how into a game they are.

Yeah, there are like 20 people replying to the discussions, great. But that's just not enough to make things happen, isn't it? It feels like the gaming corner isn't a part of the vault. There were a dozen of polls and discussion about FO4 where people complaint about why they quit and how bad/good the game is and whatever. Stuff that didn't even interest the half of the site in the least, lol. Why cant the gaming corner get 1 POLL on the main site??? This just doesn't make any sense.
When we talked about the future of the site, the majority voted for Skyrim + FO + rpgs, but I dont think anyone will ever really start posting stuff like builds here (aside a few, specific members) because it's pointless to do so if none even knows about it.
I would post something, I just dont know if there are people playing the same games I play and asking in one of your discussions isn't an option because there wont be (enough) people replying to this.
    My own opinion/impression ofc.

I'll jump in here and say that I would actually be willing to post a poll like this, in fact - in the absence of a better idea - I'd be willing to do it this coming week

What I would need would be a list of about 10-12 'contenders'. If someone wants to come up with that list over the next 24-48 hours then this poll can be made.

    Can't say fairer than that

With all due respect, DB already posted a poll in the Gaming Corner. Maybe just feature that one?
