Why You Should Play the Classics

Tell me about it...I don´t know what to do first

I love Oblivion! My dad got it back '08 And at first I thought it was a "grownup" game because I was 10, But two years later he almost threw it away and I picked it up, started playing and I loved it! Still love it. I played it until Skyrim came out, then I learned about TES lore. Those beginning games are what made the series. LONG LIVE OBLIVION.

Long live the Cheese! So you picked up the game when you were twelve? Hm, I was somewhere at that age too. 10-12, not sure right now. It´s all gaming blur after so many years.

Another small reason (being a person who Oblivion was the game that brought them into the series) for Oblivion is how you can name potions, and spells you have created (not too sure on the spell part. I have Oblivion for the PC, Oblivion GOTY for the 360, and tomorrow morning I am getting Oblivion GOTY Deluxe Edition for the PC.

Never played morrowwind. I tried but coming from final fantasy 10 I struggled to get into it. When I did get a 360 I buried myself in the mass effect series and oblivion went unnoticed by me. So I've only played skyrim. But after reading this I figured it would be I crime not to play oblivion. I bought the 5yr anniversary addition before work and will start my journey into oblivion this weekend. Good post too. I'm looking forward to seeing how your list checks out

That´s good news, Paul. I hope you enjoy it as much as I still do. And trust me, if you bought it with Shivering Isles you will absolutely love it!

Yeah. Check out a little surprise in Niben Bay after a day or so in-game.

I don't care who you are, if you are a fan of Elder Scrolls then you NEED to play Morrowind.

I've just bought Morrowind actually. I plan to mod it and play it, if only to give Shinbira some more backstory, but I don't know when I'll get the time.

I stopped playing Oblivion when I bought Skyrim! And then there's Fallout 3 & NV, DA:O, KOTOR. So many games, so little time!

You´ve nailed it. We shouldn´t have bother with such lengthy post when all that is needed is one sentence.

    You still play, Shaun?
