You want to say that HM and Lorkhan just played that little scene for Ysgramor?

I think it's a reasonable assumption for how he developed as a member of the Atmoran pantheon. Whether or not any of this shit is literally true, I have no idea.

If that's what he does to Nords, refreshes their memory (a right thing to do, since their memory is so short), what does he do to other races?

I get you don't like Nords, but that statement is just dumb. Nords aren't anymore stupid or forgetful than anyone else. They simply change their minds all the time so they don't freeze.

Sith? The wisest of people, huh? And the most prosperous.

I said none of these things. I could rant about the issues I have with the Sith and Jedi, but that's a different setting.

Show me one mindless killer who reached any sort of enlightenment. I'm definitely not going to take words of a guy who used his divine powers to improve his reputation as certain truth.

Oh, by all means. Everything Vivec says are lies, but that doesn't make them untrue. You're using the term violence as if it were something vulgar and base. Read the Sermons.

You can get the Oghma Infinium in Oblivion and Daggerfall.

Hmm, that's interesting. That would mean it was sealed in that Dwemer box after the Oblivion Crisis. But who could do it?

Whether it's true or not, HM has his own goals anyway.

I have nothing against Nords, what I don't like is when someone puts it like the Nord way is the only right one and they are some chosen ones and messiahs. I believe that each culture has its goods and bads.

There's nothing bad in changing one's mind, the bad thing is when that causes one to forget where one was going. Not all of Men are that way but some are.

Oh, there are so many forms of violence. Sometimes it even brings good things. Not always though.

I have read the sermons. That doesn't mean I agree with all of Vivec's philosophy. His way is one of many but not the only one.

Are you quite certain Hermaeus Mora wouldn't have wanted it sealed? I guess he could have gotten a tentacle on the Dragonborn otherwise, but it seems to me the locked-up Oghma was a trap by which to snare the Dragonborn as he (is the LDB canonically male, or is that one of those details we'll be told is lost to history?) passed by on his way to beat Alduin.
