Posting this idea at the author's suggestion:

If you're bored one night and there happens to be a thunderstorm happening outside, you should turn off all the lights in your house and venture into the Soul Cairn. It's pretty awesome, as the sky outside sort of mirrors that of the Cairn. Quite immersive indeed and wicked awesome.

Idesto - Great guide! Though maybe I'm not a good judge because I also do these things so I'm a sympathetic audience!  Still well said, brief and clear.

I had one idea in the spirit of roleplay that you might want to add as an extreme example of "Taking it to the Limit?". I put a stationary exercise bike under my gaming desk. When my character walks I pedal. When they run, I pedal harder. When they sprint I go all out. This solves a few roleplaying and time management problems for me:

    a. I love to game and hate to exercise. So win there. At least I get in an hour or so of aerobic exercise pretty much every day. It's far from an optimum exercise solution but I'm very busy day to day and gaming helps me relax. So it's a good compromise for me.

    b. The game is more immersive because it is more natural for my character to "walk everywhere" when I feel some of the exertion they feel.

Anyway, my friends think this is extreme so I thought I'd give it to you as an example.

Thanks for your work! Enjoyed it!

Actually I love it feld! I too don't exercise enough so it's a way to kill 2 birds with 1 stone! Or 2 dragons with 1 Dragonrend!

I have a stepper which I can use straight away, and I'd like to get an exercycle too but my space is limited.

Actually I'm slightly annoyed I didn't think of this. Great contribution, thanks!

I use a treadmill when I play Skyrim. When on the treadmill I don't use a horse. I also adjust the incline and speed accordingly with the situation.
