Link to my WiP build. I learned that I am absolutely atrocious when it comes to coming up with names at 7 AM.

So a Nord with Two-handed, Enchanting, Heavy Armor, Alchemy, Conjuration would be considered "against type"? Even though it's a pretyy standard character (not to mention overpowered).

It would technically be okay. Agreed, not especially outside-of-the-box, but okay.

But...Make it... omg, I am gonna say it... I can't... not in Overhate's presence, that would be sacrilige.

    Make it... ONE-HANDED!!

    Lol

Nah, I'll make it Archery and throw in Sneak so that I can use SNEK ARTERY!!! :P

    2.  A build submitted for this event  must not contain more than one – read it again, slowly with me  ooonnnneeeee, that’s it—perked skill from your selected race’s preferred skillset.

I notice it says "perked" skill, but I just want to be 500% sure before I get too far into this playtest and realize "Oh, crap, I messed up."

As you know, I'm making a Breton who uses the Aetherial Staff. Since I can't find a reliable answer on the internet (gasp, the horror!), I'm going to test if Conjuration skill affects the Staff's charges. If it does, can I use a Trainer to level Conjuration as long as no perks are invested there, or does it count (heh) against the "Against Type" limit?

Perked skill, so you're good. My Urag build uses unperked enchanting, but for a very special reason. Playtest away. You are 5000% sure. :D

All is well, then. Play-testing shall commence immediately!

I predict a lot of RP builds coming from this... I couldn't be happier!

So yeah, I probably won't be participating in this event, real life things kinda got into the way, however, I have been urged to give all you guys the "Teineeva love". Still not sure what that's supposed to mean though...

Ah, well anyway; good luck guys and have fun. Let's hope this event will be the crowning ceremony the great reign of the Varg'ette deserves.

Hey, Tein. Listen, if you were to do a collab with someone, just in theory, and spend time playing Skyrim instead of Civ, would it ease the pressure enough for you to participate? Just in theory of course.

So I would like to enlist mysef to the joust with the following little foolish idea :

Dunmer are known to be some of the greatest mage in Tamriel right ? So if I let myself grow a goatee, had some nifty mystic blue tatoo, a raged but dignified set of robes, put on some theatrics and walked with a staff no would be the wiser that I can't cast one damn spell, suck at brewing potions and don't understand jack shit about enchantment ?

If my cousin Malur in Whinterhold can pretend to be the magic counselor of a Jarl, with my flair for dramatics I can surely become much more, maybe even... a Archmage !

So here is the plan, a Dunmer that litteraly talk his way throught the Mage guild quest without casting a single spell of his own (meaning any spell that cost magicka and or has to be learn in a spell book). So you guest it lot of staves and scrolls...

Extra challenge, he fight like a girl (figuratively, no offense ladies), don't know the right end of a sword, can't pull a arrow from a quiver and has too much pride for allowing any back up (so no NPC doing the quest for you).

Hope it's enough of a twist for you...
