Yeah, the name of it is "Not your typical Archmage."  Still my favorite screen cap I've done so far.

In my opinion, the problem with the background is the fact that it is a build about a specific person as opposed to a character type, if that makes any sense. For example, I want to hear the history of the Shadowscales. It is based in existing lore which adds to the credibility, for a lack of better words. Your build is based on a character that you made up, which makes a big difference. When I play the Shadowscale, I will make up the background of my character. I think that's why background doesn't really work with this build. I hope that made sense, haha.

Perfectly, I misunderstood the request.  There is no background on this Class, he's unique as far as there not being anyone else in Skyrim using similar skills, equipment, and battle tactics.  I used the Charater's name, instead of the classes to avoid confusion with other Arcane, or Mystic Axemen, or whatever.  He didn't get the idea from emulating anyone else, but basically picked them up as he went...

Exactly, and I think it would be a lot harder to write a really interesting bio on a character as opposed to referencing history and expanding on facts.

ok honestly are builds just spewing out of this guys butt. I mean even I have never done more than 1 build per day. and I'm trying to get better. People have told this guy over and over again and he still just keeps mass posting builds. how many even is that like 6 in 48 hours

And y'all say I cause drama, and I'm one of the few people who really don't care that he posts multiple builds

I say more builds from the butt, the better! I like it.

Playtesting isn't that important, Skyrim isn't really complicated enough to have to play the game for weeks figuring out weaknesses.

Playtesting Combos does matter, because there's some glitches you wouldn't know about if you just write them out without trying them.  For instance, Wall of Lightning glitches Impact so it doesn't stagger, so one might write a Storm Mage suggesting that combo without testing it, because it requires Expert level spells, and a lot of Magicka (Or enchanting to Free Destruction) to pull off.

Also, if you don't start off, and work the skills up without grinding, it can sometimes reach points in the mid game where you're temporarily too weak to survive, because you went up an NPC tier, but didn't compensate with the skills/equipment.

And finally, unless you know the calculations, you might work up a few skills on paper, then not realize that while you have 30 perk points, you aren't level 31 because you don't have enough experience with those few skills at level 100.  Especially if you believe people who say "Skill bonuses don't matter," an Altmer may be able to get 30 perks with a certain skill set, while a Nord wouldn't.

So yeah, you can Assume a build will work, or you can playtest it before posting.
