In previous TES games Altmer had a heavy weakness to magic, yet they were most often pure mages....

Skyrim does support their train of logic though. Vampires and falmer both only use frost & shock, are resistant to frost (in lore anyway), and are vulnerable to fire. This seems like more of a style thing, though. Fire is warmth and humanizes its wielder (ex: Eragon), while frost and shock are cold and indifferent (ex: White Witch & Lich King). Fire is only "evil", and thus suitable for an enemy character, when it turns into devil's fire, or dark fire (ex: Balrog).

I think that is more of a intended brokenness. If you could use fortify one handed enchantments to increase dagger damage then backstab damage would get even more ridiculous. The way it is now only fortify archery potions, not enchantments, boost dagger damage.

I know the diadem can't be disenchanted. But I heard that worn shrouded gloves could be disenchanted. And doesen't the Diadem have a 15% spell reduce for all magic schools. And I swear Ulfrics bracers have an armor of 6 (Dunno what the Diadems Ac is though.).

I'm not saying its not allowed it just doesn't fit with the vamperic theme is all I'm saying. None the less its an excellent build. Currently I am Level 17. also what difficulty did you play on. I went adept for the first 10 levels then I bumped it up to master.

have to ask if you only had 2 hot-keys what would they be?

It's still a very minimal number, especially to do 3-4 hours just to get the item. You aren't supposed to be hit anyways.

Diadem is 5%, I'd much rather have 15% in a school I use more often or even 70 magicka instead

How were dragons during this build? Did you have any trouble with them?

If you're sneaking up to a dragon lair, you can often 1-shot them with a 30x sneak attack. Otherwise just stay in cover and shoot firebolts. Once you've got Impact dragons are a piece of cake, you can just stunlock them since they have a really long stagger animation
