Nice build! im playing something kinda similar, but different at same time.. i call it The Specialist. main difference is that i dont use Charisma (Lone Wanderer perk only) Instead she specializes in explosives.  Coupled with Pickpocket and Sneak.  She plans every fights ahead.. laying mines then using Syringer (mostly berserk or DoT) to "warn"  someone is there and lure them in her minefield, finishing the remaining with Grenades or Assault rifle (which she also uses in "oh sht" situations). sadly.. no companions fits with her.. they all tend to mess up her plannings, detonating mines uselessly or just running in when she throws grenades and thus taking useless damage lol.

    Anyway.. +1 from me (*^_^)b

It's really incredible the level of detail in this build, no... in all the builds he creates. I appreciate your work, sir, I really do. I believe that I can sense the flow of organization in said works. These are more than builds, now. They are also great short stories. Again, much appreciated. God, words do no justice nor accuracy. Damn...

Yeah, I saw that build on Reddit...

Damn man this really looks great. I kinda wanted to avoid the Brotherhood of Steel since they're more or less assholes in this game, but I keep remembering that they are my favorite faction period.

I might try this build out, but with some tweaks. For example, I like having Unarmed for an attack method simply because it's so much fun to punch people in the face. That and Power Armor have mods specifically for Unarmed. I am curious as to why you put one point in certain perks like Nerd Rage and Explosives (I know Medic is required to build the Clinic stands).

Anyway, great build you have here. I'm definitely going to try it out (with my tweaks) and maybe even tackle Survival difficulty. :3

Glad you like it! I found you could prevent the Brotherhood from being complete assholes at a couple of points with Speech checks and such. Something I kept in mind is that in the Capital Wasteland they were already well established, and in 'doing good' mode. They've just arrived in the Commonwealth to destroy the Institute in 'destroying evil' mode - and those are two distinctly different things. In the future maybe they'll set up like the guys back in the Capital Wasteland and start helping people a bit more? Who knows.

As for your perk questions, I only had 1 point in Nerd Rage to get the effect in the first place, since I didn't really think the other two points were worth the investment. I was going to get more ranks in Explosives but I was put off by the throwing arc I would get at rank 2 - I don't like cheap assists like that!

Good call on Unarmed, I did actually use a little bit of melee when in Power Armour. Obviously you'll want some ranks in Blacksmith as well (str 4) so you can actually make those upgrades! Maybe drop a point from Agility for that?

Ah okay. Guess I can give them a shot.

Ah. Like going Hulk do we? XD But yeah Explosives is kinda meh, especially since you need to take more ranks to craft the stronger grenades which sucks (although having a baseball bomb is a little funny with the Swatter bat XD ).

Yeah I was using Melee, but Unarmed just feels so much more fun (especially in Power Armor). Also who doesn't want to use a Deathclaw's...well claws as a weapon? XD

Unarmed is ridiculously fun, to the point that I'm basically spoiled on guns at this point. They're just not as visceral and entertaining. The biggest weakness with Unarmed (and, to a lesser extent, Melee) is the lack of options. There are only four unarmed weapons in the game, and barely more melee. So it's easy to get tired of your tools in a game that's very much about upgrading and swapping out over time. I'm actually contemplating a build now that's all about getting drunk as hell and punching everything in the wasteland. Occasionally, you hit them with a pool cue or a bottle.

Yeah I know that, but since this build pretty much has you using Power Armor when you get the X-01 set Unarmed becomes a great back-up thanks to the mods you can put on the left/right arms. Honestly, I'd be using this against major melee enemies like Ferals (when not being swarmed anyway) and such to help conserve ammo. Also as I said I just love punching things.

When it comes to Automatic weapons the Pipe gun that uses .38 ammo as well as the Submachine Gun that uses .45 ammo are easy to come by, and the latter ammo can be bought in chunks from merchants provided you have the caps. In particular, the Submachine gun I'm currently using has the "50% damage boost against humans" effect, which is nice since humans are probably the biggest amount of enemies you encounter. The Drum Magazine mod also lets you have 100 shots before reloading, though that does eat up your ammo pretty quickly.

Man something I need to do in the future is work on Big Weapons for the Gatling Laser. Yeah it uses fusion cores for ammo (which sucks) so using it with Power Armor is a no go, but siding with the Railroad does net you the "ballistic" clothing mod. Have to do that after this playthrough.
