The Overboss armor can get a jet pack if you use the raider power armor mod I used in the Stormblade build. Think I linked to it. I can't remember the name but you should be able to find it. Adds a lot of junk look to raider power armors so might be good in general.

I sort of look at it like a niche weapon. Like, you're scavaging a junkyard and a legendary vicous mongrel jumps you...whip our the harvester to save your skin. But don't use it as a main go-to. You can also use it to build a critical bar very fast with the right set-up. Kind of lke I did in the Torturer with Seargent Ash.

    is that a console mod? I'm on PS4 :(

I get you Motty, I'll think about it. See if it makes it through the initial decision process of character building

So after some condensing and throwing out and adding of different concepts, I've made pretty good headway for what my next build will turn into. However, I'm struggling with the roleplay. What I'm trying to create is like a junky, wasteland "paladin" who runs around with his sledgehammer, mace(Heavy Big Jim), Junk Jet, or Shredding Minigun to...well that's the part I can't figure out. When I say Paladin, I'm not necessarily referring to the BoS term/ranking. Just as in TES paladins root out undead/evil, I want there to be something that this paladin would "root out" that would correlate to the "junky" vibe(I'm avoiding high tec stuff, I want that scavver/scrounger look) So originally I thought he would root out ghouls, mutants, and other radiation abominations. Then I thought instead he could fight against robots(tech abominations), but then I considered that maybe he could build robots and be like a holy fighter in a robot crusade against humans. Now I just don't even know, any ideas?

Have you considered joining the Atom Cats?

What about making him a religious zealot who is a devout religious crusader. Trying to rid this world that is clearly suffered from Judgement Day. In his eyes God spared him and has seen fit to release him now back into the Commonwealth to rid it of the taint of super mutants, ghouls, etc. He would naturally hate these Institute scientists themselves playing god with creating people. He would also probably really really hate the children of atom who would be blasphemous heretics. In this way you can the option to like or dislike various groups at your discretion. Might really like the Minutemen if he wants to help people. BoS if he is more paladin of vengeance crusader style. Might even be pro robot if he wants to use those wastelandy skills to help create his army of justice.

@Noodles- Yeah I did consider it but after looking into them I don't think they have any kind of "extremist" feel to their gang. Plus we already have a couple Atom Cats builds so I want something totally new

@Amornar- Okay okay..now we're getting somewhere! So taking what you said, how would I best weave that into a junk-focused build. Because that really is the starting/main conept  but I want to take this zealot/paladin extremist personality and weave it in somehow. If that makes any sense of course XD I'm going for a chaotic-nuetral personality that has his own agenda that he continuously pushes, leaving any one in his way with their brains blown out from a Junk Jet-propelled teddy bear and other such objects

Bear with me for a sec; what if he saw the sin or evil or whatever that was caused by technology before the war and now he seeks to repurpose technology in his own way to exterminate any "offspring" of this treachery. Now he would have both reason to build robots, power armor, etc (repurposing) and then "religiously" root out abominations such as mutants, the Mechanist's robots, any other group that would get in his way (extermination) all with the goal of cleansing the Commonwealth to begin anew. So like the BoS but more self-driven and generally beneficial to others (but he'd still be "chaotic" in personality so he's not a goody goody running around doing errands for wastelanders) I did super low charisma for the actual build but even still I'm sure I could dress up a few devoted followers at my garage to represent fellow paladins

I kinda sort of just answered my own question, but anything that you have to add or suggest would be awesome :)

All that sounds good Madd. As for the rationale for why he is so "junky" just throw in a relevant backstory. A religiously devout mechanic, got drafted, used gearhead skills for the war in Alaska, now retired looking to start up own business. Perhaps linked to an existing location like trying to by the Red Rocket Truckstop just outside where he moved to with his young family.

That's just what I needed! The Pre-War backstory, I like the religious mechanic and the red rocket idea. Thanks Amo :)
