Your Incarnation in Tamriel?

  • July 10, 2018

Right? There’s just so much going on. There’s a comedian, Dimitri Martin, and he has a bit where he talks about a video game he’s going to create called “crazy busy hospital” just to take care of everyone who becomes collateral damage in other video games. It’s very true. I mean, as Big Damn Hero in Skyrim, you do so much good, but so many people end up dying in the crossfire. I’m writing a chapter for one of my stories about escaping from Cidhna Mine, and just thinking about how that would really go down is chilling. How many people in Markarth would die, you know?

And yes! I have a save game where I just go apeshit and run around Riften attacking Mercer Frey and Maven Black-Briar and Maul and that hardcore Stormcloak family until something ends up killing me, and it’s strangely satisfying. It’s a good tension breaker, sometimes, to have you character just go nuts. And then there’s another save game where I go back into Yngol Barrow and hang out with all those glowy things. Lovely that Skyrim is a game that supports both mindsets!

What would I be if I was reincarnated in Skyrim? I'll be an adventurer who is self-aware that he's an isekai (alternate world) character. I'll team up with a trigger-happy mage, a stalwart masochistic knight, and a useless priest, and together we'll go dungeon diving and earn tons of loot! ...Oh who am I kidding, I'll probably get arrested for no apparent reason and have my head axed off at the chopping block because some useless God/Angel/Overseer Up Above decided to reincarnate me in the center of a group of rebels getting captured!

Dang, if I could choose anyone to be in TES with all of this person's attributes and its destiny, I'd be my main Dragonborn character, no question. Even though I know he goes through a lot of bad stuff, since I created him and have his life story more or less planned out in my head, I know he gets through them.

Hmmm this is really hard to answer.... Howl the Hunting Grounds am I kidding?

My reincarnation would be a Male Argonian by the name of Sotek. He'll join the Companions and take a certain Red headed Companion of the Inner Circle as his mate (Aela the Huntress) and we'd wage a war against the Silverhands.

We'll lay claim to Greenspring Hollow and make that our werewolves home where they, (Our werewolf forms) would spend many a night hunting deer, wolves and bandits.

Later when at some point we die from being old/slow/or just unlucky, our werewolf spirits would reside in the Hunting Grounds where we'll live out eternity, hunting, tracking and ermmm doing other things which an Alpha male and his Alpha female would do......

Yes.. I gather no one is surprised at that but thats the way it is.

It must be a wolf thing.

But Sotek, I thought it was the other way around for you. Aren't you actually Sotek the Argonian Werewolf from Tamriel who was reincarnated as Sotek the Argonian Werewolf Writer in this world? :P

Only untill I find that Elder Scroll of time and open a portal back to Whiterun.

I hope it's soon. This world smells funny.........

A poacher hunter on the shores of Lake Ilinalta. Sounds of water and forest, the smell of woodsmoke and grilling salmon. No right clicks of distruction or left clicks frantic to find the target.

My assasin killed one of these for the sake of a bed and salt.

Whoever I might incarnate into, I'm pretty sure I'd die shortly after in a not so epic way... probably eaten by a wolf or lynched by an angry mob because I tried to eat a chicken. I have zero survival skills!
