Phil, you are holding out on me. Why haven't you said you're expanding your harem of half naked chicks? I would have preordered this one for sure! Is this the thing where we discussed the pink soul gems of belly magic? :D But damn, your presentation knocked my on my arse here. I remember your older builds which were about more simple lines, but this... Dibella, right? Once you do Dibella, you got to do it with elegance as if it were art. Right? :D Dibella, moths, souls, all perfectly tied together to create a lustful need for my eyes to probe this subject much deeper, I just so want to get in, explore the warmth of Dibella's light. Yup, excuse me... :D

Haha, thanks Lorc :) Fair warning, Valric's Forgotten has fueled an idea. I remember in one of Tein's or Amo's streams the subject of a Hermaeus Mora Priestess came up because of that rather revealing armour mod. Now I know I can have a fully-voiced and realistic Miraak follower, things could potentially get slick and slimy down the line :D

But yes, we discussed how the process of enchanting works, how it would feel. At the time I wanted something more erotic for the Dibella theme, and was exploring the idea of having that soul pass from the gem and through her fingers, arms, body and soul, before penetrating the item to be enchanted. I was looking for how that experience would feel, like if it were a big, hairy Nord warrior, would she experience something sexual and exhilarating in the size and shape of his soul, while also experiencing his memories and skills (in the case of fortify enchants).

Your insights were very interesting, especially when you told me how in previous games there was no enchanting table, it was like just the gem and the item, the person as a possible conduit. It all helped find an interepretation I was confident with and could safely call lore-accurate to a degree based on how the Ancient Nords could have done the same as that which the Moth Priests, only more Nordic and primal :)

Can't believe I've only just seen this. This is a masterpiece. Presentation is on another level (those twirly headings!!), gameplay that works (got to love Ordinator resto builds), and really rich lore and RP (finding another take on Nordiness, which you'd think wasn't possible at this point, and a non-evil approach to enchanting, which is really liberating, and a fantastically non-shallow approach to Dibella). Really inspiring.

...oh. Oh, this build is beautiful. I can't really speak as to the gameplay effects, but the presentation and aesthetic is amazing.

A fantastic build! Love the story and all the RP elements. I intend to try his one out soon. But forgive me if I missed it somewhere, but what is the stat distribution? I don’t recall seeing what to put in magical, health, and stamina. Also what enchants should we use? I’m guessing things like fortify resto and two handed. Again forgive me if it’s there and I missed it.

    Thank you Plunders :)

    Much appreciated Soly :)

You're too kind, thank you Richtus :) You haven't missed anything, I tend not to put in a stat spread in builds, nor do I put in the enchantments I used. I probably should, but enchanting is one of the most creative skills so I kinda think that process is best left entirely to the reader/player. That and I'm terrible at naming items: Dibella's Blessed Bulwark, Moth's Caress, Moth's Silken Soles, a sword named Lightbringer... These things are too comical to put in :D

My reasoning for the absent stats is that while a build gives you the final result, the journey to it can be different. At any given level one person's priorities could be different from another - one person could feel they need more health, another could feel stamina is a bit too low etc. No right or wrong way to get to the destination.

That said, and also to address the enchanting question, the damage dealt using Heal Another scales directly off of max magicka because of our perk choices. So it really becomes a balancing issue - we could totally cheese it and put as many Fortify Magicka enchants on as possible, but I think I opted for more melee-orientated enchantments because spell damage was already close to too high :D So I went for things to help me block and hit harder or generally add to the RP.  Because the Apprentice Stone makes her particularly vulnerable, I liked the idea of her armour carrying her Goddess' divine blesings too. Also, I did a lot of enchanting over loads of different sets to create thematic armour and weapons, so again it's just about having fun and getting creative :)

I love this build! Just started it out and I am enjoying it so far. One question though, I use Andromeda Standing Stones, is there a certain one you would recomment to keep the roleplay of this build? I just can't decide which one is best. Thanks for the build and all the hard work you put into this!

Thank you for the kind words Timothy :) Man, tough question. I've never used Andromeda so am looking through all the descriptions now. Based on the lore aspect, The Ritual looks like an interesting choice with that theme of gathering memories... that's pretty evocative stuff and sounds more spiritual than necromantic. Plus there's that Maran connection - The Moth of Dibella, Wolf of Mara, and Hawk of Kyne are like aspects of divine femininity. So I'd be tempted to play around with that stone and see how it goes.

The Lady looks like a lot of fun and obviously The Lady constellation resonates within us quite profoundly when we think of femininity and Dibella. Iirc the Lunar Familiar is a cat of some sort? Cats are connected to that Goddess: "White cats are sacred to Dibella, the Lady of Love, and all white cats are said to be her representatives in the animal kingdom. A House of Dibella will typically have three or four milk-white cats within its walls. Skeevers beware!" The theme of light and moons with that stone is interesting, too, especially when we think of moths and the time of day most likely to encounter them.

So yeah, those would be my personal choices as a starting point :) But honestly, play with whatever you enjoy most and don't be afraid to make it your own, you know? Take the whatever inspires you and make it into something better that suits you :)

I rarely peek into builds, but isn't this a pretty one))) And since it's me saying this, count it as twice prettier than I say) Seems to be such a fine lady, I bet she even bathes every day with flower soap and maybe uses some perfume too)) Totally loving your take on enchanting, it's very original and fascinating. And these wonderful pics)))

Thank you for popping in, Thuri :) I imagine she smells of lavender and honey. I went through so many versions of this character before things fell into place and at one point alchemy was a main skill, so her scent was something which I'd thought way too much about :D But yes! I think Enchanting is still a skill that can be interpreted in many different ways or used to convey more subtler themes than simply soul trapping. Going right back to Children of the Sky in which book it is said that Nords wear the tongues of their enemies that hold speech like an enchantment, the soul is attributed to different things by different cultures, be it light or breath or whatever. Fun to be had with lore and interpretation, as always :)
